Ayy, it’s ya girl Panda! Back at it again with the roleplaying accounts, and this time it’s for the ever so lovely, Albus Severus Potter. I’ll be honest here, I don’t like the ending of Harry Potter, not one bit. But I absolutely adore Albus and his god awful name, and his character just sort of spoke to me. So he rather quickly very quickly became one of my muses.

The Slytherin feels as if something important is missing from Lupin’s statement and his already curious mind rages with many questions. “It is Professor, very much so. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. You teaching this class, you knowing all the things that you do, it all has a reason behind it. And I want to know it.”

My name’s Panda, and recently I did a reread of Harry Potter. It just sucked me right back into the fandom, so here I am! Anyways, I’ve always thought that Harry should have been a Slytherin. For many, many reasons. I believe that if he hadn’t been influenced by Hagrid and Ron, he would have definitely been sorted into Slytherin! But alas, that’s a rant conversation for another day.

“Professor Eliam, I have a question pertaining your knowledge on Alchemy.” Harry makes sure to approach the alchemist after her lecture is over, thankful that her class is the last he has for the day.
"Well, duh.” He mocks with an eye roll. “What I mean to say is, there must have been an instance in your life that pushed you to want to know more about the people you go up against, yeah? I mean, to know what you’re up against all you really have to do is learn the basics. But you, you study them in depth. There has to be a reason more than wanting to ‘know exactly what you’re up against.’“
Harry pushes down the angry irritation that surges within him. Stupid adults, they never really understand what he’s saying .”Something personal must have happened!”

“You seem to know an awful lot about Dark Magic, which makes sense because you teach DADA, but you don’t really seem like the type of bloke to be into this sort of stuff.” Harry studies his professor for a moment, particularly the eyes. Petunia always told him the eyes were the gate way to soul, before beating him ruthlessly with a steel pan because his eyes apparently gave off defiance.
“Tell me, what makes you so interested in it?” He says after a long second, dissatisfied with his observations.

“I was thinking that maybe it was an optical illusion?” The young boy sucks his bottom lip in between his teeth. “Like we as humans perceive it to be that way. But if you had a book, that’d be great too!” His lips quirk up into a slight smile, one that brightens up his entire face.
“Well…that’s not impossible…and I’m sure optics play into it somewhere…” Because wouldn’t that be an optical illusion? The fact that they look the same despite being two different sizes and two different distances from the Earth. Best to consult the books.
“If nothing else, we definitely have an encyclopedia. Come on…let’s see if we can find it.” With a smile of her own, she ushered him into the living room.
A warm, bubbly feeling builds up in his chest when his mother agrees with his theory. He absolutely loves it when an adult agrees with him. It makes Harry feel unbelievably intelligent. Though, despite knowing what optical illusion means, he has no idea what the definition to the word optics is. The boy decides not to ask.
“Okay!” A book hunt with his mother sounds fun! They haven’t done something like this in a while. Tripping over his feet slightly, Harry rushes into their living room with uncontained glee. “Do you think it’d be with your old school book?”
“Grey? What are you, an anime character?” The man probably new nothing of anime, but his lips still quirk slightly at his own words. The smile is quickly gone though, just like his last frown.
“I’m Harry. Harry Potter.” The dark skinned male offers a hand for Grey to shake, still not looking at him.
“The Toraja muggles of Indonesia practice a ritual of exhuming the corpses of deceased villagers. The corpse are draped in special garments and paraded around the village. Interesting, right?”
“Hold up.” Flicking her wand towards the cabinets above her head, Ceara set the plates parading downwards, the table beginning to set itself. Which, in turn, allowed her to give all her attention to the boy who was (in every way but blood) her nephew. “Wouldn’t it make more sense to do the whole ‘parading about the village’ thing before you bury them? Exhuming corpses just seems like an extra step no one needs.”
Harry watches the magic, envy flashing briefly in his emerald irises. It’s really not fair. How come adults got to do magic outside of school and not him? Eyes not leaving his aunt’s face, he transitions from standing next to the newly set oak table to sitting at it.
“It’s more like a yearly ritual. Something to do to honor the dead. Every year the clothes are changed out by family members, and the corpses are cleaned thoroughly. It’s really not as bad as the tribe that practices endocannibalism”
“Of course you don’t. Think of it like this; Muggles bleed like we do. They breath like we do, they feel pain life we do, and they feel emotions like we do. Just like us. The only difference is they don’t have a magical core. We’re all human. Well, most of us are.” Explaining this was sort of like trying to get a baby to learn the first 12 numbers of pi. Utterly pointless.
Harry gives the other male a blank stare. “I’m not calling you stupid. Just trying to explain a subject that you’re clearly close minded on.” The boy has to think a bit about the other part of his statement for a moment though. He did have a point there. “I don’t think it’s that they don’t care. They just aren’t allowed to know about our existence. If they were it’d probably be different.”
“Also, i’m more than positive that if muggles were ever forced to learn about us, many would feel the exact same way you do towards witches and wizards.”
