{New} Baby Mine; Month One @oldfathertime
The calming afternoon breeze drove the couples and families that roamed the park to take shelter within the stores that lined the streets. Yet, Time’s gaze never abandoned the distance female. It has to be her. His mind was racing among with his heart while he stood frozen in his steps under the afternoon sun.
Countless thoughts entered his head as she approached him. What would he say? How would he react? He could not face her like this, not when he comprehended how mixed up he felt inside. Still, as she stood before him all the worries that started to build within him came cashing down. It was her after all, his Cupid the one that gave him meaning. His shoulders automatically tensed up as he now faced the one he had bought to tears with his cruel heartless words.
Maybe I should not mention anything. A sigh escaped his lips. Who Am I kidding? She properly will never forgive me..I would not forgive me. Time felt empty, horrible even.
Even though she looked different, her eyes read that she loved him. It was a relief that she still cared, but what did she mean? Sure he didn’t feel or look like himself, but the effects of no sleep and constant work could do that to anyone. Was there something else? Something he hadn’t notice. He titled his head, feeling concerned. “What do you mean? I am fine Cupid, what are you doing here?” His hand cupped her face as his eyes met hers in a loving expression. He wanted to hold her, kiss her, love her. Something had clearly driven him to her, what it was or who, that had now become the question that had to be answer.
His touch immediately soothed her. It always did. Was she really anything more than the angel of love and a slave to Time? His touch was off, however; it felt different somehow. She looked up into his eyes as she placed her hand over his. This was her Time but she couldn't shake the feeling. "Are you sure? You...Well, never mind."
Cupid then pulled away from him. She was happy to see him but he was still against her and she couldn't simple let him believe that she was okay with that. She's spent the last weeks hiding from him and the reality that he wanted nothing to do with what had quickly become the only source of happiness in her life. A hand on her tummy and she was reminded of the anger.
"What does it matter, Henry? You haven't cared enough to even try to contact me these past few weeks." Vic spoke quickly and turned away to keep herself from getting angry. "Don't think I haven't forgotten. You ran away before we could talk about things. Are you ready to talk now, Ten?"
