⨳ — BUZZFEED UNSOLVED SUPERNATURAL; S03
send one for my muse's reaction!
“You don’t feel even a little creeped out?” “You heard those, right? That wasn’t just me being crazy.” “Crime’s even better when it just involves bars of gold.” “This is why you die first in a movie.” “You’d be the worst diplomat when it comes to alien-human relations. Every fucking solution you’ve offered is to shoot at them with your gun.” “You’re not ghost-proof. You’re just an idiot that refuses to see proof.” “Why you gotta be nervous with a beautiful sunset like that?” “I kinda wish this bridge was torn down.” “I’m gonna murder you.” “It’s still very much an abandoned hellscape.” “Oh my god, this room is fucking horrifying.” “You have a very sly, evil smile on right now. I don’t like it.” “You seem rattled right now.” “If I’m trying to remember what I had for breakfast a year ago, yeah I’m gonna be a little foggy on that. But, if I’m remembering the time I saw alien bodies, thrown from a wreckage, I think I’m gonna remember that quite clear, and when it happened.” “Are you putting on a tinfoil hat?” “I knew you would like a Nick Cage reference.” “Mass abduction! Maybe they all lined up in a row and just got in the tractor beam one at a time.” “It’s kinda sinister that there maybe something lurks beneath.” “You almost startled me with your realistic gunfire noises.” “Hey, c’mon, speak up. Do ghost-y stuff!” “We’re going to the most haunted part of the building.” “I feel like my bravery is going to stop at this point.” “Ghosts, ghosts. Make it stink.” “Spooky castle, that’s every investigator’s dream.” “Alright, we’re gonna see a thousand ghosts tonight. Any less than that and it’s a failure.” “Wait. Did you hear that?” “No-one can see the top of your head except God.” “I would pay thousands of dollars for ghosts to be real.” “Ghosts hate it when you play the piano.” “We may have caught ourselves a ghoul, [Name].” “This is fucked up.” “I’m not gonna pretend I’m not scared of this, because I am.” “[lauhgs] That’s poetic.” “It’s hard for ghosts to take a cold one.” “We should go get more gin.” “Alright gouhlie gouhls, let’s do something fun.” “Can you look even a little bit worried?” “If you want me off the bridge, you’re gonna have to throw me off.” “I’m about to die for the internet.” “Yeah, this is kind of what the apocalypse would look like. In micro form.” “Hello, spirits. We’re here with good vibes.” “I have a crazy hunch that your eyes are gonna play tricks on you, and you’re going to lose your mind.” “Try to rationalize it all you want but you know it’s a ghost.” “You would walk up to it and be like, ‘the end is niiigh!’“ “You’d go runnin’ through town, ringin’ a bell. ‘The Martians are here! Lock yourselves in your basements!’“ “Looks ghostful.” “It’s a people grinder.”

“ no! right – wrong – WHAT ?? “ a sharp inhale of breath, the doctor jerked up from his laying position, frantically scanning his surroundings. this was wrong. very wrong. “ absolutely wrong. “ from what he could tell, he was on a beach. although just a second ago, he’d been in the tardis and – he shook his head. sure, she’d sent him to the wrong places at the wrong times before, but this really didn’t look anything like the paris world’s fair in 1889, behold the top of the eiffel tower. thinking of tardis… quickly, he scrambeld to his feet, calling out to the next person near him. “ hello?? hello!! yes, you - can you tell me what year it is, by any chance?? what planet ?? – oh, and you wouldn’t have seen a big, blue wooden box anywhere ‘round here, would you ?? “
❝ — oh, everything might make a little more sense if i had !! ❞ as she made her way to him at his call, the teacher’s frown was riddled with the sort of confusion she’d been accustomed to one again. his questions, after all, seemed vaguely familiar in perhaps the worst possible way; she was becoming used to the idea that, perhaps, she and ian weren’t as alone as they had always thought in their experiences with the doctor, but here even THAT solidarity didn’t seem to help matters much. ❝ it’s definitely earth. the stars are in the right position. ❞ knowledge she had her husband to thank for. ❝ year, i’m afraid, is not so easily defined. ...would it be bold of me to assume that your next question is about the doctor? ❞
;; i’m going to reply to some starters soon but if anyone would like to start a thread with barbara, leia organa (oforgcnas), or lucille bluth (cursedmatriarch) just reply to this letting me know who and i’ll send a starter!

“Ah I see, you are a woman deeply in love then” he could recognise that. Hell he had married a woman whose friend, possibly lover he’d never asked, was the man charged with uncovering the Pimpernel’s identity. That wasn’t impractical, that was damn right idiotic on his part. “Of course, you are not known as the best dressed man in London if you are not dedicated” but that had been true long before the Revolution started. He was silent for a moment, wondering how to answer without giving too much away. “Her brother got himself into a spot of bother. Right time, right place I suppose. Got him out of it, she came to visit him when I was still there”.
❝ yes. i certainly think i am. ❞ his acknowledgement seemed bittersweet to her, as the thought of her dear ian balanced somewhere between intense adoration at the thought of him and intense melancholy at their separation. they’d been apart like this before but not for nigh on fifty years now, and she felt at a loss without some sort of PLAN. ❝ it sounds fairly sweet, actually, from an outsiders view. did she come back to england with you? ❞
[raoul]
“Not sure what there is to make sense of, it’s just a town” and that feeling he couldn’t shake. Perhaps by now he should, especially with all the stories he heard, but he just couldn’t let go of them. “Never seen any of them come true. People just say whatever they need to”.
❝ some of us aren’t here by choice. you could be in the most wonderous place in history, but you’ll never be able to appreciate it if you’re there by force.❞ her experience went a little further than the town, of course. she knew people who would kill to have travelled in the tardis, and she had adored it. but it had always been marred by the choice she had never been given. ❝ some of us just wish for home. ❞
[robin]
“It is my pleasure as well. And, that seems to be the case, indeed. While I am not sure which century this here exactly is, But where I am from, I did serve my kind Richard during the third crusade,” since this ehre seemed to be some sort of odd future anyway, Robin saw no reasons to hide those facts from the woman so far.
❝this is the twenty-first. at least, i ASSUME so. though. i haven’t thought to question it until now... ❞ a small frown easily stopped her mind from dwelling on the subject. ❝ the crusades !! ..i expect this will sound RIDICULOUS, but our paths may have crossed. ❞
[raoul]
“It was a long time ago” or seemed to be. He couldn’t really focus well when he tried to think about the dates. It was strange, that should be so easy and yet he couldn’t do it. “We were there, then people here started this bull about it being cursed”.
❝ — well, i’ve heard a great many stories. i suppose everyone in a town like this tries to make sense of what they can. ❞ her curiosity was peaking, desperate to be released; she swallowed down the questions which were working their way to her tongue. ❝ i’m guilty myself, i’m afraid. i suppose i believed the stories. but i’ve always been prone to blind faith. ❞
[percy]
“Love is not practical. Not my experience, my friend married for love so he tells me. Sickly sweet couple really, but it was all so impractical” though he would always be happy for Ffoulks and Susanne, the impracticality of it had really been on his end. Couldn’t really blame him for it. “This island isn’t a prison, sooner or later someone will find a way off” he just wasn’t looking. If he wasn’t there, his friends were safe, that’s what it came down to. “Well I was perhaps slightly more involved, to begin with still went over for fashion sakes. Was how I met the wife”.
barbara knew she shouldn’t laugh, and in fact she put in a great deal of effort to stop what eventually escaped her as a weak snigger. it was out of fondness, of course, at his comment. ❝ perhaps not. but sometimes the impracticality of it all proves for certain that it’s the right thing to do. if it’s worth going against the odds for... ❞ she paused, listening to him with an intensity of dedication she so often owed to others. ❝ well, speak of being a dedicated follower of fashion !! how did you two meet, exactly? ❞
[robin]
“I am just not used to all those fine fabrics to be all honest with you, Mylady,” Robin explained while giving the woman a nod and a smile. “But I very much appreciate the compliment. Thank you very much for it!”
❝ oh, it’s my pleasure. and I UNDERSTAND, sir. i’ve been in that situation myself a fair few times. ❞ a mirroring smile, and barbara crossed her arms in front of her. ❝ from your tone i assume you’ve travelled a fair distance? ❞

“Isn’t that. As of late I would like nothing more than to leave here” for some reason it didn’t feel right anymore. Maybe it was everyone and their ridiculous stories grating on him, or maybe he just wanted away from his childhood home. “It’s more the only way out is over the water. They say the water is cursed, they are right, but just not how. There’s no magic, but last time any of my family went out on the water on a boat… they did not return”.
❝ — oh, i’m so sorry. ❞ empathy was easy for teacher, and her expression softened into something that offered him her unmistakable apologies. ❝ that can’t have been easy for you. and i wish there was something i could say to make it easier. but, believe me. i speak from experience when i say that it’s something that comes with time. ❞
[❆ percy]
“It made sense to marry? I’ve never heard anyone say that, unless practical reasons” or maybe he just didn’t believe love made sense. It was more than just him and Marguerite, to him it had never made sense why his father had fallen in love with his mother. Even why his great, great, possibly another great, grandmother had fallen for his namesake, the man who kidnapped her. But that was love… or his bloodline, he wasn’t sure. “Oh relax, I am aware no one truly believes it is, not here anyway” apparently all lost life was bad, he did tend to agree, but he was tougher against it. “M’dear, I am English. How involved do you think I was?”
❝ oh, believe me, they were far from practical reasons. ❞ a fondness hung on her lips as her mind slipped back to the memory; naturally, her explanation extended a little too far. ❝ we’d known each other for so long and i’d fought so hard to get back to him, that suddenly to be apart from him felt like another obstacle we needed to face. ❞ her fond expression fell slightly at his comment. she shouldn’t be so open about her travels, but percy had quickly become a friend and she trusted him. ❝— i’m english AND from the twentieth century. about as involved as you’d expect me to be, too. ❞
