Sheryl Sanburg is not letting us “lean in”
I must confess, I have not heard of Sheryl Sandburg until a week ago. I randomly came across one of her interviews on you tube and after about 5 minutes of watching I turned into a staunch supporter.
What an inspiration, leader, fighter and a role model! Her personality is an exotic (especially for an aggressive business world!) mix of humility, class, kindness, and openness and yet you can see she’ s got to have a tough skin to get to the very top of Google and Facebook’s line of command and to be so universally respected and liked.
All I can say, and there is easily a thesis paper one could right on her managerial and leadership styles, her fight for women’s right to be equal with men and to lead the county’s largest corporations, I would give a lot to meet her in person! Maybe sit down for lunch or dinner and just listen to her and try to learn and remember as much as I could...I read Warren Buffett is hosting charitable lunches, would Facebook auction one too? That would be a great thing to do for all of us, for the fans, for the youngsters, for the country..
