She sighs and puts one of the filets for dinner on a plate, then sets it on the floor.
"Don’t tell, you’re not supposed to have table food."
He moseys his way on over to the plate, circling it before he sits down, eyes raising back to hers in a silent thank you.
"You're welcome, Jax." She gives him her best smile and kneels down to run her fingers through the fur at his shoulders.
I just realized that almost every interaction Lydia has with a show antagonist is super rapey. Peter, Nogitsune Stiles, and the Eichen House Nurse especially
"You’re going to spoil your dinner."
He lifts his head, a whine escaping his snout.

Happy 28th Birthday, Holland Marie Roden! (October 7, 1986)
After finding that his phone was not in fact on him, Jackson simply looks about his surroundings, knowing that was his next step. He quickly noted that it was a factory, an abandoned one it seemed. The only actual door was east, bulk in steel and probably should be his last escape. Whoever threw him in here, they were expecting him. “Ah, give a guy some credit for being smarter than that,” he mutters to himself with a roll of his eyes. Eyes quickly wandered up to the large pipes— vents, whatever they were. Maybe he could access through there, find a way out the building. Hopefully his luck hadn’t run out this time. Again, eyes flickered about the factory, trying to find the perfect spot to climb up, but to his dismay there was nothing but walls. Too bad he wasn’t a Spiderwolf. Hearing the large door open behind him, Jackson spins around, a slender woman walking through, already unfamiliar to his gaze. “Jackson Whittemore. You know, you’re a hard one to find.” Jackson arches an eyebrow, cowering not an option. If he wanted to survive, he needed to remain confident. “Yeah, kinda like it that way, actually.” He just hoped he had the strength to.
The Sheriff put his hands on his hips in the familiar gesture while Parrish assessed the damage.
"I'm not getting any strange scent." Derek told her, walking around the wreckage.
"There's blood here." Jordan piped up and pointed to a dark puddle on the ground. It was a lot of blood, but she knew Jackson to be a bleeder even before he got the bite. Looking at it still made her cringe.
She knelt down and touched a finger to the top of the pool. "Can you find him better if he's bleeding like this?" Lydia's face turned to Derek, who had his arms crossed over his chest. "If you can, I can search from above and The Sheriff and Jordan can follow either one of us."
"If he's scared and bleeding, it's be easier, but I can try."
Lydia was already stripping off her jacket, medical pack, and shoes, shoving them at Parrish who just looked bewildered. "Go on, I can keep up."
Jackson’s body was thrown against the cold concrete, his body remaining still and unconscious as footsteps faded away, a screech coming from a heavy metal door as it slams shut. At first, his body doesn’t respond, having been passed out for about an hour now. But having the ability to heal faster, he does eventually begin to stir.
His bright gaze stares above to the ceiling which was made of mainly pipes and steel bars. It took a few moments for Jackson to remember what happened, what he had been doing before hand.—Texting Lydia, receiving a very sweet picture of their baby boy watching Halloween movies— He doesn’t remember the actual taking, but he remembers the glass breaking, his head getting bashed with a crow-bar. Ow— by the way. Sitting up, he brushes his hand on the side of his head, noticing the dry blood on his scalp, but the wound completely healed. Groaning, he gets up before searching his pockets for his phone. He needed to call Lydia, make sure they were safe. —And of course not.
Lydia recognizes that there are limitations to her abilities, but it because painfully apparent when she's on the phone with the Sheriff. Fal is staring at her, having heard her frantically calling Derek and Scott and rest of the pack
"Is Papa lost?" She can't look at his wide eyes and chubby cheeks, but she picked up her son and hugs him close as the Sheriff tells her that he and Parrish are on their way to the scene.
"Yes, and I have to find him, but your Uncle Scoot and Uncle Stiles are coming to play with you while I do, okay?"
Faolan nodded seriously and Lydia kissed both her cheeks and the tip of his nose. "You can stay up late with them and make them watch all the scary movies we have."
Scott got their first, because he ran to their house, but the rumble of Stiles' jeep isn't far behind.
"Derek's already out looking," Scott's hand on her arm felt like a life preserver and Lydia used it to steady herself. "We really think you should stay here and let us handle it."
"Not a chance," She snarled under her breath, securing her magic bag to her thigh. "I'm finding him and I'm bringing him back home."
Scott gave her a look, then nodded, and went to greet his nephew. She followed behind and told Faolan to be good for them and that she'd be back with Papa shortly.
She knew flying would be faster, but if Jackson was hurt, there would be no way for her to carry him back like that. The quiet ride of her car kept her calm until she got the road that was backed up by the accident, then she parked the car and ran to the grouping of Derek, Parrish, and the Sheriff.
Jackson's Porsche was totaled, the driver side door had been torn off the hinges and all the glass in the vehicle was broken out.
"What the hell happened?" The sight of his precious car made her shudder, and if this is what the car looked like, she didn't want to think what state her mate might be in.
"Don't worry, Fal. I'm bringing your father home."
