This uke. I am so happy. So happy I asked for a uke for my birthday. So happy I chose this one. So happy I decided to try something new. I was so scared. Scared of not knowing anything. Scared of being bad. Scared I would give up because it was too hard. Scared of "wasting" money. But this little instrument is giving me so much joy. I'm having fun singing again. I'm using different muscles(literally and metaphorically) than I have in a long time. I'm not pressuring myself to be at a certain level by a certain time. I'm picking it up for 5 minutes a day (almost) every day, which often turns into 30 minutes or more. I'm letting myself just BE and PLAY with it(two of the best verbs in my opinion). Also. The other night I needed help figuring out a song so Michael (@puisheen) got his guitar out and we played together. Then Vinnie started howling and it was the best family jam time, ever. I'm definitely looking forward to more of those. Yup. This was a good decision. #uke #ukulele #learningisfun #play #instrument #nofilterneeded
