OKAY so. here are pizles. I have deleafed my tree once again and I still can't find a bee hive, but the buzzing did start as soon as I started destroying my leaves. I am genuinely at a loss

So I normally play this save when I get home from work, and I have a later start today so I'm in the game for a bit and. my starter base suddenly looks like it needs A LOT of work LMFAO

So the Locusts are in a cave system roughly one hundred and fifty -two hundred blocks below the base, which I now think is too far for the directional audio which is again. Pointing to bees SOMEWHERE. I have gone into creative to attempt to find the beehive without taking down the whole tree to replace the leaves after, but I’ve found literally nothing. No hive. Unless there’s a game gimmick where bees can nest inside logs that I’m unaware of?

I did also use a few debugging commands and they did pretty much nothing. I’m somewhat tempted to copy the world and reload the chunk just to be safe.

Vintage Story is truly one of the games of all time and has a level of attention to detail that I aspire to one day reach, and nothing exemplifies that more than the bugs. There are 169 unique butterfly models in the game! They have unique spawning conditions depending on world height and rain frequency and temperature, and a unique pin you can wear for every single one! You don't have to interact with them at all if you don't want to! This is something someone did out of true passion!

And then you turn to the bees (something you need to interact with if you want to make meaningful progression) and their m. Their models are. Their models a

honest to god funniest bit of writing in Destiny is having Variks speak Like That and then the moment other eliksni with speaking roles get introduced they all just talk normal-style. like they don't even click between statements or anything or break up their sentences weirdly they all just talk regular. and then eventually one of them (i think Spider?) just drops the fact that Variks can 100% speak normally too and he's doing that shit on purpose

I think so much about the fellowship in tragedies. something something he who twists the knife is as innocent as he who dies. Not your fault, not mine, just is. but the contradiction that each character has complete control and agency. the temptation of the end with Ghost and Guardian as two sides of that coin. Wolf who places no blame and Ghost that places it all. He wants a better story. Who wouldn't?

on the bright side, once you DO get out of the copper age (and make some good armor and a couple falxes and a shield to poke from behind) that underground hellhole is going to be a great place to grind for temporal gears and metal parts. i miss an old world of mine that got corrupted because there was a big ass pit i could climb down into and it was always full of bellheads and other high tier enemies to mug for their gears

That’s exactly why I marked it even though it was terrifying for my gear level lol, I was hoping originally to land a spot farther away from the equator (which is where my base is) for more decent temperatures but it did not go to plan XD

There’s a few big ass caves right next to my base that I’m pretty sure are teaming with enemies at the moment so I haven’t explored them, but the moment I get better armor and weapons I WILL be making a farm out of them!
