As stated in our plot, all the characters are sent to a land without magic and are given new memories quite like on the show Once Upon A Time so no they would not have their magic.

how many characters are we allowed to apply for off the bat?

you can only apply for one at a time and your second character can be applied for 48 hours after you first get accepted. after that any further characters have a waiting period of only 24 hours !!
