The hardest part of owning a pet-sitting business is when the pets get old and die. The second hardest part of the pet sitting business is when the owner gets old and dies, leaving their loyal dog behind.
This is Jax, he will be staying with me until I figure out where his next safe place is to go next. He may be left here but he's not abandoned.
I am now sitting here looking in the face of a dog I don't get to send home. I don't get to tell him his people are on the way for him.
I will spend the next however long looking for a rescue to take him so I don't have to make the hard decision to drop him off at the shelter.
This business is normally full of happy moments, and good memories. Days like this, moments like this - break me.
I am taking small donations to help feed him until he is rehomed. I will not be getting paid for his stay or reimbursed for any of his care until he's rehomed, so any help is appreciated.
