It was times like this that Zephyr loved the fact that he was prepared and spent most of his time here. It was a lavish and dark apartment, colored like a starry night sky. Low light allowed most to make their way through the space, but it still allowed an air of mystery for anyone visiting. The magician, clad only in a black silk robe, lounged on his sofa with a glass of wine in his hand.
As the door opened, leading whoever with the right key to this space, Zephyr sat up with a knowing smirk. “Well, well, look what the night dragged in.” He remarked, taking a sip of his glass before setting it down and standing up. Zephyr seemed to glide across the floor as he walked over to the detective, a hand moving to close the door behind Derek.
“Curiosity get the best of you, then, detective? Or did you just miss seeing me so much you decided to use the key?” Zephyr teased, the space between the two of them almost becoming non-existent as he placed a hand on the man’s chest.
Derek couldn't help but to chuckle and shake his head when he heard the other man's words. "Well duh...You give me some mysterious key and says that it'll take you to me no matter what door I put it in?" Still...Derek still couldn't believe it. Sure, he knew magic existed. He was living proof of that. But something like this? Seemed really advance to him.
"Although I suppose your face isn't the worst one to see after taking some type of portal thing." Derek jested with a smirk as he approached the other man with a shrug of his shoulders.
