◇ THE CITY WAS suffocating with its towering edifices and busy streets. Still, it was a queen’s duty to maintain composure despite the discomforts she may face. With her chin upturned she walked through the crowds without giving a single stranger a passing glance. The only respite she found was in the outskirts of the shopping district. There she stood among time-weathered books a shopkeep had displayed outside of his store. Long, elegant, fingers danced along the spines of the leather bound pages. The gilded titles detailed the contents of each tome in languages of the old. Many of which Assassin had spoken and read in ages long past.
Her reverie was fleeting as interruption arose in the form in a tall gentleman who nearly passed by the distracted ruler. Within a moment’s time, her serene expression faded into one of minor irritation. “There is nothing more distasteful than a boastful mage.” Turning away from the items she had been browsing before his sudden appearance her piercing eyes bore into his own. “You do not have the authority nor the right to speak to me in such a way when your capabilities are no grander than my own in this foreign land.”
This was assumed knowledge but also an educated guess, given that even in her weakened state she would be able to sense an overwhelming outpour of magic if it were to present itself to her. “Tell me what did you seek from your previous line of questioning, a squirmish of some sort?” Typically when asked about one’s abilities violence tended to be around the bend.
MAGE SHE SAYS with such audacity, just the sound of that word becomes a reason for him to strongly hold that fake smile of his. Not only he despised the fact that he was one, but not being able to hide he was one really annoyed him. He’s leaving, since that was his original plan, yes, his initial approach was rather offensive and provocative, but is there really a point in starting a fight when such a lazy mage won’t even have the willingness to finish it? Controlling his clenched teeth post hearing his true nature, his departure is stopped as his head tilts back towards the one who exposes him, ❝ Mm?❞
THE TONE of his voice in a cheerful and almost childish style, he really would take everything as a game. ❝ Uwaaaaah~scary!❞ Purposely overreacting, of course. ❝ Me? Seeking something? You almost make it sound like I just wanted to pick up some sort of fight! No waaaaay, just with that glance you’re throwing at me it’s already hurting my heart! I’m just a simple traveler wondering around in unknown lands, no hidden agenda here.❞
IT SEEMED like a joke, every word that came out of his mouth, some were the truth some were mere lies. However, charming manners have been imposed upon him since he owned his freedom. His hands travels up to his chest by his heart’s side, towering the woman before him he bows in respect ready to share an introduction, if she’s going to assume facts about him would rather do it his way . ❝ Fai D. Fluorite is my name, at your service--❞ Assimilating a prince charming, it was within his essence after all, the charm turns into dust in a matter of seconds though. ❝ IIIIIIfffff it’s not something too troublesome of course!❞
