I generally try not to get political when Im around students because personally that's just not my pedogogical style, like, I want kids to arrive at their own conclusions instead of just regurgitating what the adult in power told them but I remember this one time for whatever reason these kids were having this existential conversation about religion and this sweet catholic boy was like, well that's something that confuses me about the bible because god says you cant kill but I have a cousin in the military and I just looked at that kid and said, "if you join the US military you're going to hell" lmao
