One good way to find the source for images: I go to saucenao.com. Sometimes some images original source was deleted or something so it can’t be found, but--it looks like that’s not even the original artist. I clicked on the DA ID and it said it wasn’t found, so I went directly to their page, assuming it was deleted, and took a look at their art.

...I highly doubt that that’s the original artist.

Shame, too. I really liked this url, a lot. But honestly? If I’m going to lessen the chances of being refound by personals, I’m going to have to change it.

Also I’m pretty sure there’s a decent way of telling if a post is a roleplay or not. Fanfictions typically have a title(not all roleplays do), they tell you if there’s a pairing(sometimes there’s actually not one) but almost all of them I’ve seen give a very brief synopsis.

Roleplays don’t give a synopsis. And, if there’s already replies on it, that’s...a dead giveaway that it’s a roleplay. Usually a roleplay without replies will be tagged with ‘starter’, ‘open starter’, or anything similar.

So all this talk of not liking personals reblogging roleplay stuff is actually making my follower count go down a little.

This might be a good thing, as I’m sure those were personal blogs that were breaking the rules. The personals that know it’s okay to like the posts and not reblog are perfectly fine to stay<3

I would venture to say no. Roleplays are not fanfiction, though at a quick glance they might look like it. Sincerely, we are happy that non roleplayers like our writing, but idk in a way it sort of feels a little personal? It’s a little hard to describe.

Now if we were actually writing fanfiction then sure, but we’re not. (Though I don’t know how many fanfiction writers would be okay with someone reposting their writing, even with credit)

Thank you for taking the time to try and understand, though! It means a lot that you asked this, to be honest.

Edit: Clarification--there might be some fanartists that will allow reposting, though they’d typically do that themselves, from what I noticed. But roleplayers, it’s usually an overwhelming no on reposting.

Okay due to the amount of personal blogs not understanding that In Character things should only be reblogged by roleplay blogs, I’m most likely going to have to remake. I’ve never had this much of a problem with personals before.

PSA to you non-roleplay blogs: If you do end up reblogging an In Character ask and/or roleplay, you will be blocked. It makes it harder to know if the rp partner replies, especially if that post ends up getting popular.

As of right now, because of my disappearing from the blog for like two months, I currently can’t even see my notifs. :/
