This place really was starting to wear on her patience. Generally Konan was a cool, collected woman. It took a great deal to set her off and when she was in a rage, the individual who’d been fool enough to anger her would suffer her hellfire. She had been dealing with one too many individuals as of late who had somehow managed to annoy her, and thus, she was lashing out a bit more at those who didn’t deserve it.
Those like Hidan..then again with that mouth of his and the way he disrespected everyone maybe he could use a taste of his own medicine from time to time…Though it shouldn’t be coming from her. Konan preferred that she get along rather well with everyone in the Akatsuki, wanted to keep it that way. So she needed to remind herself to let up a little on the frigid bitch facade.
Something that was proving to be incredibly difficult the more he talked.
The corner of her eye twitched though it was the only indication of her annoyance, her face remained composed in it’s general smooth mask, void of any real emotions. As he drew nearer, Konan moved to remain just out of reach..this was something she would have done with anyone; though Hidan was not one to be trifled with. A single drop of blood was all the man needed to snuff out a life..and she’d be damned before she allowed him to claim her own.
She was a messenger of God. An falsified Angel of Pain..even if there was no Leader to deliver it, she would always have a lesson to teach to those who opposed him, and doubted her capability of doing so for that matter. Konan kept her gaze fixated forward, biting her initial response of ‘Should I be?’ to herself. Why wave a red flag in front of the raging bull when she could keep him content by just letting him run his mouth.
But why did he care? Why was he looking at her like that? What did it matter to him if she was genuinely pleased or disgusted to see him once again? All these thoughts raced through her mind as she silently replied to him. “Flattering as ever…Nothing is wrong with me…” She always had that stony expression, this was just hard to tell through their astral projection meetings. I always look sullen….why do you even care….
Never, would she voice that question out loud. She knew he didn’t really give a rats ass about things like what people thought about him. Wasn’t that the reason he was the way he was, what with his bad manners and ‘I don’t give a crap’ attitude? She didn’t talk much the duration of their walk, speaking only when he spoke to her. When they stepped outside and began crossing the snowy grounds, her hands disappeared deep into the pockets of her coat for warmth. She didn’t know if Hidan liked the cold or not, nor if it bothered him all that much for that matter.
Hidan's consistent, and rather provoking ramblings had started to show wear in the blunettes narrowing gaze. It wasn't like her to get irritated by petty insults and a bit of harmless teasing, but the sadist couldn't really say what such a major change of lifestyle would do to someone as work focused as Konan..
Somewhat warily, but more so tactfully - Konan stayed just a few paces ahead of Hidan, her pace calm but swift.. This meant that Hidan's rude interruptions during the time it took to reach his dorm, could be heard by all those in close proximity - something that of course didn't bother the disrespectful grunt himself, but would probably be seen as far too much of a scene for the likes of Konan..
“Flattering as ever…Nothing is wrong with me…”
She'd probably thought about leaving Hidan to just blabber on, to let him wear himself out hurling insults at her and everyone else they seemed to pass, but instead, regardless of how subtle it may have been - she bit back.
Hidan was ever so slightly pleased by this, and continued to try and pry another pleasurable reply from the sullen blunette.
"Tch, well you seem pretty pissed to me."
It didn't take much to read Hidan like a book.. He wore his emotions on his shoulders and painted them onto his features with ease. Konan couldn't have missed the grin that struck his jaw, even if she hadn't gazed back at him, she would have heard it in his tone.
It was at that moment that an icy breeze wriggled it's way underneath Hidan's ill-fitted uniform which would probably have fitted fine if he'd bothered to wear it properly
"You better not be fucking dragging me out here to mess with me, bitch, hurry the fuck up and get me out of this shit" he scowled, kicking off snow from the tips of his shoes.
"uch, this place sucks so much dick."
He muttered beneath his breath as he quickened his pace to catch up with the Akatsuki and hasten his return to the heated hallways of Iwakiri..
