Most of our vegetables and fruit come from the garden, frozen or canned for winter.

We each have had busy careers, saved up, and do a few guest performances per year

In addition to native English I speak German, French, Italian, and Russian and I read in all of those languages.

Visiting the city often for performances, museums, socialization, and occasional shopping

Costs are kept low by buying the house outright, doing most restoration ourselves with our savings and grants, keeping our power and water off the grid, growing our own food.

Keep up with our taxes using investments and continuing to perform, and renting out the house occasionally.

Performances and exhibitions held on site provide social and cultural value.
