Nobunaga would call for the best doctor, but would be torn once they say that only one can survive this. He would heavy-heartedly decide for his woman and feign, as if this wasn’t so hard for him. If she would blame herself for the death of their child he would try to soothe her with simple words and change the subject. But no one would see him late at night, stroking a tiny kimono he had bought for their child, shedding tears.
Mitsuhide would be so anxious seeing his beloved one struggling in pain. He would panic iternally when hearing that either will survive, while all colour would drain from his face. Before too long he would give a clear answer, knowing that he could endure anything but the loss of the love of his life.
Yukimura would absolutely lose it. As if it wasn’t enough to see his woman in such a state, he had to decide between saving her or their child. He wouldn’t give any response, lost in his thoughts, not sure if he would be able to bear the pain of losing a person he loved or was ready to love unconditionally. As his decision took too long, he would lose his wife, but would make sure to let her live through memories and telling his child about her. This child would be raised to resemble their mother, but Yukimura would never be the same anymore.
Saizo would stare at the distance, his eyes dead. He didn’t realize until that moment how much he actually looked forward to their child. In fact he hadn’t be so eager to be a father, but now, his world was crushed. “Save her. Do anything, but save her.”, would be his order and it would be clear what he meant by ‘anything’. After that he would try to convince himself that he wasn’t really ready to become father anyway.
Kojuro would remember his happiness as he had heard that she was pregnant, but this memory would fade as he would see her writhing in pain. She wasn’t responsive anymore so he had to decide how to handle the situation. Becoming father was one of his greatest wishes, however he would never sacrifice her, for nothing. Even though he acted all calm around her after that, he couldn’t help being exremely shattered because there was no way of having a child with her.
Masamune would really want to save her, the first person who could actually understand him and knew him better than anyone else. However, he didn’t know why, but he couldn’t bring himself to say it. He couldn’t accept saying something that would kill his child, the result of the genuine love they had. As she died, he would try to raise his child the best way he could, but - no one thought that was possible - he would be colder than ever. He wouldn’t be kind around anyone anymore, not even Kojuro or Shigezane.
Hideyoshi would chose her without a moment of hesitation. Of course he would be emotionally damaged, but would try his best to keep his kind smile on his face to soothe and comfort her because he would think that is more difficult for her than for him. Whenever she mentioned that she feels bad for not being able to give him a child he would embrace her and stroke her her while assuring her that everything is okay, as long as they were together.
There would be no way that Toshiie would give up on her. He would sacrifice anything, even his own child. Of course he’d wish that he could die for both of them, but as this isn’t possible he would be extremely furious. Everyone would fear him from then on, except his beloved one, who he would treat with extra care and affection.
Ieyasu would be extremely scary, threatening everyone around and demanding the best doctor around the country. Once they tell him that he has to chose, who of them he wants to save, he’d just say that they should recover both, if they wanted to save themselves. As he understands that he can’t get anywhere with this, he would decide against his child. Full of rage, he would punish the doctor later, but make sure that his wife can rest and doesn’t witness any of this. Life would be hard for his enemies and retainers thenceforward, but he’d make sure to comfort his wife as much as he can manage, but would especially seek comfort himself.
Mitsunari would not show even a hint of emotion as he would shout that she should be saved at all costs. After his child died, he would insult everyone for not being capable to do their job. He would isolate himself more than ever and wouldn’t want to speak to anyone anymore, not even her, who suffered as much as he did. But he couldn’t bring himself to look at her, as her pain was what threatened to break him down.
Toramatsu would really want to save his child, cost what it may. But if that meant that he was going to lose her, he froze. He couldn’t even imagine letting go of the person who supported him at the most difficult times and the one he always protected. So he decided that it would be the baby that has to die and would blame himself forever. No one could ever make him laugh again and he would swear that he would pretend his love from even the slightest pain.
