Cassi had expected the knife to go into Jinnie’s back, and then she’d walk away. Of course, that’s not how it happened. As soon as she lunged forward, Jinnie was gone. Before the assassin could register where her target had left to, her knee buckled beneath the weight of a foot. Spinning her torso around and wielding her knife, attempting to bring it down and slice across Jinnie’s face. Her reflexes were faster than the elder had anticipated again, and Jin grabbed onto the knife she was holding, twisting it out of her grip. In a flash, Cassi had pulled out another one from one of her hiding places and was going to jab it in the other girl’s side… but before she could, a sharp pain split through her skull and everything went black.
So far, this was not a very successful assassination.
Cassius came to slowly, her vision fuzzy and her head throbbing. She growled and groaned, coming to her senses and tugging at her chains, looking up and spotting Jinnie and her Warmblood friend. She scowled at them both. “Great. Come to mock me, you son of a gecko?” She drawled towards him, clearly not in the best of moods.
Jinnie's brow furrowed at the elder assassin's words, though they were to be expected. Mint and Jinnie had locked her up after all, but that gecko comment... It bothered Jinnie, but Mint seemed to take it in stride, practically beaming at the captured assassin.
"No no, we are not here to gloat lady Cassandra, we merely wish to talk! That is, if you are willing." He said, smile still bright as ever. Even the way he was standing showed just how friendly he was, relaxed posture and hands folded behind him. His pale eyes scanned the assassin's face, gleaming with curiosity. Jinnie thought he would act more cautious but it turned out she was wrong, or at least it seemed like it.
Mint wasn't an open book, that's for sure. While he was in fact curious about the legendary assassin in front of him, he still remained on guard. He wanted to test the girls temper, to see if she was stable enough not to hurt Jinnie while behind bars. Though, it's not right to say that his disposition was not genuine, he was merely watching what he was doing. Planning what to do with great caution...

Cassandra had been watching Jinnie for some time, creeping among the treetops and dark shadows of the woods. Just like the General expected, she was obviously planning another moonblood attack. It seemed she’d been the head of the revolt all along. The thought made Cassius sick. Turning your back on your army was unacceptable and punishable by death. She was quite high in the ranks too, to be a lower class assassin. Why would she suddenly betray them like that?
No matter. Cassandra was here to bring punishment, as she always does. She’d been assigned to this target and she would not cease until Jinnie lay slain.
As an assassin, Cassius knew better than to just saunter into Jinnie’s house while she was sleeping, and kill her there. Though it seemed like the obvious choice, Jinnie was a former assassin. Hemophobic or not, she’d have traps put up just in case of an attack. So she waited, and waited, until the sun rose and the moonblood and her target ventured their separate ways.
Adjusting her hat, she jumped down from the tree she was in, unsheathing a long knife and heading towards Jinnie’s unprotected back. Of course, she was being a bit reckless in her haste. A bit too open. But what was the harm? It was a lower ranking target, and she didn’t look threatening in the least. How she even got enrolled as an assassin was a mystery to Cassius. She was pathetic, didn’t look behind herself at all, her build was much too thin and lanky to do her any real good. It appeared as if her training had fallen away… and she was hemophobic. Honestly, you couldn’t get an easier target unless it was already a corpse.
Silently and without so much as a shift in expression, Cassius lunged the knife forward, aiming for the center of Jinnie’s back.
Cassandra had made a grave mistake, she underestimated Jinnie. While the elder assassin was obviously the stronger out of the two, Jinnie was not as ignorant as she appeared. She had been very careful, and it seemed like that would pay off greatly.
She had a feeling someone was following her, she could feel her movements being watched. While she wasn't quite sure if it was just her imagination playing tricks on her, she kept her guard up. So when Cassandra lunged forward, Jinnie was ready to change her position, swiftly dodging out of the way with much ease. Yes, there was no way for her to win if she were directly facing her but in real battles, she could use tricks.
Jinnie spun around, eyes narrow in concentration. Her weight shifted and a second later Cassandra was on the ground, Jinnie having kicked out her knees from under her. Jinnie quickly went for the elder assassin's own blade, using the initial shock as an advantage.
When the knife was secure in her hand, she used the back of the knife to hit Cassandra's head, knocking her unconscious.
Jinnie sighed, running a hand through her hair as she attempted to calm herself. That could have ended very badly, if she hadn't been expecting this... Well, she probably wouldn't have been alive right now. Jinnie shook her head, what was she going to do? In reality she should have killed her, not just knock her unconscious yet she couldn't do it. Despite her false claims of being hemophobic, she really didn't like killing people, or blood for that matter.
She was tossing around ideas of what to do when Mint suddenly approached, pale eyes widening at the sight.
"... Should I be worried that what looks like a very well known and dangerous assassin is unconscious at your feet or...?" He asked cautiously, eyes flicking between her and Cassandra. Jinnie sighed again, a pout soon forming on her lips.
"... Maybe. Can you... Help me get her back to camp? I don't want to just kill her but it's not like we can just let her go..." Jinnie said, pausing to think over her choice of words.
"Hm... Why does something tell me we wouldn't be handing her over to the elder...?"
"Well... You know how the elder is, she might... You know. Anyway, it's not like she can escape if she's locked up in that underground prison thingy! She might have information we need." She said, knowing that she had won the little debate the two were having. The elder was scary, and would not hesitate to hurt Cassandra. Especially considering that she was one of the most feared assassins' across the land, she would probably be beaten half to death.
"... Okay, I'll help. But! You have to promise to be careful." He said, eyes locking with Jinnie's. The younger girl nodded, bending down to help pick up Cassandra. Mint sighed before smiling, walking over to his friend before helping her pick up the assassin.
They then made their way to the perviously mentioned underground prison near the camp. It was dark, save for a couple of lanterns and there were large steel bars inclosing a large section of the room. Mint and Jinnie began to chain Cassandra up, take away her knifes and wait for her to come to. Though, they did not notice another Moonblood following them, a Moonblood who would give Jinnie quite the tongue lashing later on. But for now, Jinnie and Mint waited for the assassin to wake.

There was a knock at Cassandra’s door.
She was in her own private room at the base the warmblood army had set up at a nearby castle. Since she was the head assassin in the league, it was only natural for her to have her own room, away from prying eyes. She was observing a recent report on a moonblood uprising to the south. A few days prior, with no warning whatsoever, a full fledged attack was declared by rebelling moonbloods. The same thing had happened even earlier in the month to the east, and even earlier in the north. It seemed as if the attacks were getting more and more concentrated, more tactical, and more devastating.
Someone from the outside might suspect that the warmbloods were losing their grip on the kingdom, but Cassandra knew better. Nothing had changed in the warmblood’s ranks, so the moonbloods must have been getting stronger. She just needed to figure out why.
"Come in." The assassin called quietly, not looking up from her notes. A lower ranking soldier -really more of a messenger at this point in the war, with the battles nearly over and the fight already won- came in, bearing a file full of papers. He placed it on her desk quietly.
"A new target of level three importance has been asked of you, Lady Cassandra." The man’s voice was formal, and the title made her tail swish in annoyance. She’d always loathed being referred to as a lady.
"Leave it here, I’ll address it when I have the time." He looked like he was going to interject, but she shot him a violent look, and he left without another word. —-
Remembering this clearly, Cassandra crept through the dead of the night, sword at her hip and her large hat disguising her features. The file the soldier had brought her was from a former assassin, known as Jin, or Jinnie. She’d been excused from the ranks claiming a severe case of hemophobia, and after swearing on her life never to betray the warmbloods again, she went her separate way.
After linking her to the recent moonblood attacks on the kingdom, Gaia was finished with ignoring the girl, and now Cassandra was sent to end her life.
Should be a simple task, for the assassin. After all, she was the best.
Jinnie was already starting to pack her travelling supplies when a young Moonblood with startling green hair came into her room. After planning out the next attack, she decided to get a nights rest before heading out to scout the area. She needed a firmer grasp of the place where they would be fighting, even with her preexisting knowledge. It just so happened that this Moonblood found this out on his own, so of course he needed to come and ask if she needed help.
Jinnie rolled her eyes when she saw him walk in, his polite smile practically widening when he saw her. She smiled herself, her blue eyes sparkling with happiness.
"Hi Mint!" She said, tail swishing happily behind her. Mint was a very close friend of hers, even when she was a part of the Warmblood army. He and Cat- another close, Moonblood friend- showed her that Moonbloods weren't all that bad, which eventually lead her to side with them.
"Hello! I see you are on your way out hm~? Why didn't you tell any of us?" He asked before walking around the room casually, pale green eyes scanning her backpack. He always had a friendly air about him, words seemingly slipping out of his mouth with little thought and much ease.
"Ummm..." Jinnie started, eyes flicking down to her bag. She hadn't told them because this was her job, and she didn't want to inconvenience them. She never wanted to tell them about things like this.
Mint merely chuckled at Jinnie's response. "Haha~ Well, whatever the reason, do you think I can tag along?"
"Aww but Miiint! This is my job, you don't have to bother!"
"Haha~ It's fine, really! I like travelling with you. I'm most likely going to be with you during the next attack anyway, so it would be an advantage right?"
"Well... Yeah."
"Exactly~ So, are you ready to go?" He asked before smiling at Jinnie with triumph. She only noticed now but he had a bag slung over his shoulder, he probably packed before he even went into Jinnie's room.
Jinnie smiled and nodded, buttoning her bag before picking it up. She straightened out her black uniform, pulled her hair into a small ponytail and went over to her night table. Several daggers lay spread on the smooth wood, each sharp and clean. Jinnie quickly hid one on her arm, one in her boot, and several overs in different places before turning to Mint and heading out the door.
------
They travelled for several long hours, trudging though the thick forest with ease. At least they were, until they eventually came to a stop to check their map. Jinnie hummed softly, looking around her surroundings nervously. They were in dangerous territory now, anything could happen. Yet, the young vixen still had a innocent smile on her face so to not worry her friend. It wasn't like she couldn't handle herself after all.
"Okay so... Let's split up! We can cover more ground and before you say anything, I know my way around and I know how to protect myself so don't worry! I'll be fine!" Jinnie said before rolling her map up again, giving a nod to Mint before heading off into the thick bushes.

Jinnie sighed as screams rattled in her head, making her raise a hand to rest it on her forehead. She brushed some of her hair from her face, brows knitting together in a cringe at the sudden movement. She had stayed up late again, and it wasn't like the past was helping her any.
Her clear blue eyes scanned her surroundings; she was in a library, several maps and book spread out around her as she sat cross-legged on the floor. Large bookshelves surrounded her, the only light source being a single lamp run by something called 'the way of the flameless light'. While convenient, it didn't exactly provided decent lighting in the dead of night. Though, she was a fox, so it wasn't like it bothered her much anyway.
In front of her was several notes scribbled on in pencil. She sighed again before rubbing her temples in mild frustration, a pout forming on her lips. She was strategizing an attack on the kingdom- well to be more specific, one of the many attacks she and the Moonbloods had taken part of against the kingdom. She was never one to be good at strategies- since she was just an assassin- but nevertheless she had to have a say in how they were attacking. She used to be an inside force after all, she knew more than the others. Things like this always stressed her out though...
She shook her head, glaring at the sheet of paper in front of her. She was thinking to much, making her start to get worried... These attacks were beginning to get more well known, the kingdom finally noticing that they were being serious about war, about change. They weren't just going to be pushed around, they were going to win by force...
... Jinnie didn't want them to win by force though, she had always been adamant about being peaceful. She hated all of this, she hated that people would be getting hurt in the end... But it wasn't like peace could help them now, they were to far in. They would be in danger now, the most skilled assassins would be after them after this attack...
Gathering up her notes and maps, Jinnie stood up and walked out of the room. She paused for a moment before walking down the hallway with a brisk pace. Her black clothes brushing back, her boots hitting the floor with barely any noise. She was ready, she had to be.
((JIIIIIIN)) The young man made his way to Jinnie with a hum, looking about for a moment before slowly approaching, ears folded back in response. "... H-hey, Jinnie? Is Cassi around?"
"Oh hi Jin! I don’t think Cassi is around but I’m pretty sure she’s at her house! Do you need her for something?"
She nods, a small pout starting to form on her face.
"Yeah, they really do! I know Cassi doesn’t like to get along with people but Casus is like… Her, so they should at least try to get along." She said before sighing.
"I dunno how we can get them to talk though…"
Jin simply hummed to himself, rubbing his chin in thought before promptly beginning to raise a and slightly. "Oh, I think I have an idea… let’s both bring ‘em to a single spot… then kinda stick ‘em in a room together without any weapons. It’ll be safe an’ they’ll NEED to talk to each other!"
"Oh! That’s a great idea! When should we do it?" She said, bouncing a little. This could work! Then the two Cassius's could be friends! Or at least get along long enough not to walk away from each other the moment they laid eyes on one another. That would be a great thing!
"Also, where should we do this? It should probably be somewhere with no weapons, though I don't think Cassi would attack Casus..."
Important news thingy
Okay, I figured I might as well explain some things because why not.
1. Kiko is no long a representation of myself.
I know, it’s probably odd to say but yeah >w>. She started off as me but has grown into her own character, so I don’t think it’s right to still use her as myself. She still shares a lot of things with me, but she has her own fears an opinions, she isn’t ‘me’ anymore. I still dunno what I will use to represent me, but I’ll find something x3
2. All my muses have left me for the time being.
I honestly have NO IDEA where they all went, maybe it’s because i’m just a boring person but idk. Hence why everything has been sooo inactive on all my blogs. Unfortunately, I am considering deleting a blog [mintkittycat] but I still don’t know. Really, it was dumb of me to make so many blogs and try to run them all only for the muses to leave but hey, they will come back in due time. Until then, don’t expect many rps ;w;
3. Requests still closed.
I made a post awhile back saying I would tell you all when requests were back up, i never made that post so they are still ‘closed’. I will still draw stuff for others and accept certain requests but it all depends… Basically, I wont be doing many requests! Sorry again but yeah, school, irl friends, dumb relationship drama etc etc.
Besides that, there isn’t much else x3 sorry for the trouble friends!
"Well… no, not me personally…" He gives a little swish of his tail, only to glance at Jinnie, pursing his lips. "… I want her and Casus to talk to each other… I think they really need to so they can stop being so mean to each other."
She nods, a small pout starting to form on her face.
"Yeah, they really do! I know Cassi doesn't like to get along with people but Casus is like... Her, so they should at least try to get along." She said before sighing.
"I dunno how we can get them to talk though..."
Jinnie nodded, walking over to the bathroom to change. This was… Interesting. She had never stayed over night at Cassius’s house before… It was exciting! Though, they probably wouldn’t do anything fun, just sleep. That was fine though, she didn’t want to bother Cassius’s after all.
She returned with light purple pyjamas, a bit baggy but very comfortable. Hehe, it seemed like all the things Cassius owned were purple! It wasn’t like Jinnie could talk though, as she had many light blue things at her place. She noticed Cassius in the kitchen, her long black hair loose on her back. She was really pretty and Jinnie couldn’t help but wonder why she didn’t wear it down more often.
Jinnie yawned, plopping herself on the couch. It was really comfy, even for a couch. She peaked up from it, leaning over the side to look at Cassius.
Cassius brushed her long hair out of her face as she grabbed a cup of water from the sink, her golden eyes shifting to the side as she noticed Jinnie staring. She turned and brought the cup to her lips before taking a sip, still gazing at the other warmblood curiously.
"What." Cassandra growled at her, ear twitching. Having Jinnie in her house was making her feel uncomfortable. On edge. Exposed. Defenseless. She tugged on a lock of her hair a few times, hating it being in her face while someone else was around.
Jinnie just smiled at her, ear twitching happily.
"Nothing! I'm just looking at what you're doing. Oh, your hair is reeeeally nice Cassi! You're so pretty!" She said, blue eyes looking at the elder girl happily. She really meant what she said, after all why would she lie? The assassin was always so pretty, even when she had her hair tied back and said mean things.
Jinnie looked around, clearly lost. Her blue eyes stopped at the one in front of her, he looked just like her! "Hihi!"
The boy nearly jumped out of his boots- he’d had his back to Jinnie when she piped up. But once he saw who it was, he relaxed a little. “Oh. H-hello… Uh, have we met?” He asked because he knew there were very few Warmbloods with their hair colour. Both of them- and this was really weird- both of them had the same hair and fur. They were even the same kind of fox. “You look really familiar…”
"Wait, you’re Jin? I’m Jin too! Though people just call me Jinnie hehe." She said before curiosity filled her bright blue eyes.
"Anyway, do you know where I am? I kinda wandered away from a friends house and got lost." Yes, friends house. Meaning Cassius’s house, which she had no idea how to get back to now. She had wandered for quiiite awhile.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah, i’m Jin." So she was a double. Okay. He could… figure that out later. "We’re uh… I think we’re…" Damn. He didn’t know either. He was literally drawing a blank. "… I think we’re both lost actually…"
Her ears flicked up, a small frown forming on her face. He was lost to? Well, apparently both Jin's had the bad luck of getting lost. At least they were together though, it was better than being alone wandering the woods.
Jinnie bounced a little out of habit, letting a soft hum escape her lips.
"Huh, that kinda sucks. But I'm sure we can find out where we are! Somehow..." She said before looking around, her tail swishing behind her. Everything looked the same... Well that was a problem.
"I would say to backtrack but I dunno where I came from... Ummm... Do you have any ideas?" She asked, tilting her head.
((From Casus and Jin)) Jin knew something was up around here. The air felt different, and Cassius, beside him, was taking note of a few differences as well... Aurora had been... gender-swapped. The males were female, and the females were male. How odd. Cassius couldn't help but wonder if this was Cassi's world, while Jin was too busy going off on a tangent about how this was so weird and cool at the same time. Despite this, neither of them realized Jin's counterpart nearby.
She was just wandering around the village as usual, maybe she would go see Cassius…? She didn’t have anything better to do, or at least she thought so before her eyes stopped at two strangers. One that looked just like her, the other that looked just like Cassius.
Except, they were male. Okie, that was cool.
She approached them, smiling happily.
"Hihi! Are you new to Aurora? Nice to meet you!"
Jinnie simply nodded, smile still as big as ever.
"Yup! He’s an awesome big brother, though is reeeally over protective. Can’t really blame him though heh." She said, tail swishing rhythmically. When Cassius interrupted Jin she tilted her head, blinking curiously at him.
… Then he mentioned her Cassius, the banter between the two making her giggle. Oh yes, he was definitely Cassius.
"Hehe, come on she’s not that bad! I dunno if she would call us friends though… I think she’s a friend at least! She can be really nice if she wants to be, though she doesn’t want to be nice to many people. She… Tolerates me and my clingy self hehe."
"She acts as though she was raised in a barn by Gaius. It’s atrocious." Jin’s sneer only grew, and he glanced over, grinning at him slightly.
"You weren’t all sunshine and rainbows yerseeeeeelf." Cassius simply huffed, crossing his arms gently before Jin was sent into a giggle-fit. Shaking his head as Cassius promptly began to pout, the young man turned his attention back to Jinnie. "Oh well. Cassius is a really good friend. I mean… despite everything that happened." Cassius’ lips promptly softened, and he looked away for a few moments in silence. However…
"Wouldn’t trade ‘im for the world." Cassius was again struck silent, though a small smile began crossing his lips, going to speak.
Cue a random subject change, courtesy of Jin’s exciteable attention span. "Oh! Before I forget! What kinda magic do ya know? Wanna compare spells?" Cassius simply paused, clamped his mouth shut and shrugged it off. Nothing could stop this kid’s curiosity…
Jinnie giggled again as the two bantered, tail swishing happily. They were so close! Hehe, that was lovely.
When asked about magic she tilted her head, slightly confused. Magic? She didn't know any magic. Her counterpart must have learned it then.
"Magic? I don't know any magic, but Fidget does! He is really good at that hehe." She said, growing curious herself.
"So you know magic? That's really cool!"
Jinnie looked around, clearly lost. Her blue eyes stopped at the one in front of her, he looked just like her! "Hihi!"
The boy nearly jumped out of his boots- he’d had his back to Jinnie when she piped up. But once he saw who it was, he relaxed a little. “Oh. They were even the same kind of fox. “You look really familiar…”
Jin managed a small laugh. “Yeah, we could be.” In fact it looked like they were pretty much identical. “I-i’m Jin, by the way.”
"Wait, you're Jin? I'm Jin too! Though people just call me Jinnie hehe." She said before curiosity filled her bright blue eyes.
"Anyway, do you know where I am? I kinda wandered away from a friends house and got lost." Yes, friends house. Meaning Cassius's house, which she had no idea how to get back to now. She had wandered for quiiite awhile.

"We could probably BE twins, though! I mean, we’re each other! I’ll bet you have a Ginger, too, right? Big brother?" Jin was evidently getting much too excited about this, but Cassius simply intervened, hand being placed upon Jin’s shoulder, instantly calming the young man down and making him look up curiously.
"Cassi. I had a feeling. Does this mean that she’s befriended you? I’m honestly shocked, her manners were ghastly." Jin paused, only to sneer over at Cassius with a knowing grin.
"Knowing you, you prolly just ticked her off by calling her inferior." Cassius simply grew silent, looking away with a huff. "… And knowing her, she thought SHE was superior, mm?"
"… To answer your question, yes. Everything is the same. Minus gender."
Jinnie simply nodded, smile still as big as ever.
