"Facscinating stuff really. I wish I had a chance to study it." He joined her, boot sending a few random pebbles skittering out into the rain. "Should be letting up...

Cora shrugged slightly. "Much more noise. You're likely to draw whole packs that way." She said, resting a hand on her belly. "Who would be chasing us? Besides my pack, I mean..."
"I doubt they'll be after us. What we have to worry about are rouges, mostly. Oh, and the Blacks. But they aren't looking for US specifically...just any non-Black weres that they can either convert or eliminate. They need more soldiers for their war against the White pack in Seattle. Its...not going well for them. The Whites are a mixed pack; lots of DNA, no inbreeding. Their weres are strong and fit and a lot of them are specialists in things. The Blacks...yeah."
"Facscinating stuff really. I wish I had a chance to study it." He joined her, boot sending a few random pebbles skittering out into the rain. "Should be letting up soon." He rested...

She rolled her eyes. "You're more hunter than wolf... dangerous, but kind of modern and high tech. I still use my claws, and they work fine."
"Lets just say that I prefer to fight as a human. When I go wolf..." He paused, wondering if he should tell her the whole story. His misadventure with Itex, the Eraser program, Stalker and HAWX and the Flock... No. Not yet. "I'm just better as a human. That, and like you, most weres fight with their claws. If you happen to have, say, a Remington 870 with explosive shells on hand like I do...well, you can win any fight pretty quick." It took a lot more than a few shells to kill a were...but punch enough holes in them and their animal would take over, forcing them away to heal.

She looked up at him, and snorted. "Dont know if you noticed, but I wont be fighting anytime soon. And when I do, I just follow my Alpha's orders." She said tempted to go out into the rain.
"You won't have to fight if things go the way they should. All we need to do is get to my place." He patted her shoulder. "But your right; you're in no condition for any fighting. So if we DO run into trouble..." He drew his sidearm, an upgraded M1911. He pulled the slide. "Leave it to me."

Cora leaned against him, wrapping her…
Cora, despite her nature, enjoyed this. Being held. Consodered as a person, and not just a thing. "This is all… insane. But…. embrace it, I guess, yeah?" She smiled lightly.
"In the Rangers, they tell you to put of judgment about what is sane and what isn’t until you’ve got the time to think. If you don’t just move."

She shrugged. "Doesn't seem very... safe. Or logical." She replied, sitting down in the doorway or the cave with much effort.
"Logic gets you killed in a firefight. INSTINCT is what keeps you alive most of the time. Instiinct and training. Don't think, don't plan too far ahead and get lost in it. Just figure out what you need to do step by step, then execute those and be ready to change it on the fly."

Cora leaned against him, wrapping her arms around him. "That’s weird, you know." She smiled softly. "But it’s kind of nice. You definitely weren’t what I had in mind as a mate, but now… I don’t think I could be with anyone else." She said, nuzzling his jaw.
"You know what they say...your one mate is out there waiting for you, you just need to find them." He returned the smile and rested his arm on her shoulders.

"Doesn’t surprise me. I’m shocked you have ANY…last I checked I was sterile, or at least infertile…" He didn’t care about Derek. The Hale’s didn’t scare him. He could kil them all easily enough. They were just dumbass teens with wolves inside them.. Give him a couple flashbang grenades and a Remington 870C shotgun and he’d clean house. But he didn’t really wanna do that…too much trouble. So if they threw her out…well that was fine by him.
She shrugged softly. "It happens with werewolves like me. I have a brother, I had a sister, we were all singular. Like humans." She said, sitting up and looking at him. She stretched out before getting to her feet, rubbing her arm as she went to the mouth of the cave, watching the rain.

"Don’t worry about it. Maybe they decided its was best for us to be solo? Or maybe they’re waiting till the pups are actually born." He shrugged. "I don’t know too well how were stuff works…"
"Well… Usually we don’t leave. But Derek threw me out." She said, running through the whole thing in her mind again. "Which is why we’re out here. And…" She bit her lip. "I don’t think there’s going to be more than one or two pups."

"No. Nothing. Weird isn’t it? Not that I had many friends there anyway…the Hale’s aren’t exactly the most friendly bunch of people…but I tagged along with a buddy of mine and I haven’t heard ANYTHING from him."
"Oh." She said, sprawling out. "Maybe it’s my brother’s fault. Or mine." She mumbled. She knew very very well how well known her family was. How much they were hated.

"Its the weight probably. Your body wants you to be in wolf form. I know the feeling." He reached out and rubbed her back gently, massaging tense muscles. Once she’d relaxed a bit, he tore off a chunk of rabbit and ate it quickly. "Soon as we get a break in the rain we can get going."
She nodded. “Of course. I know.” She said, laying down on the fur blanket. She picked at her dark hair absently. "Have you heard from your friends since that party?" She asked, running her hand over the soft furs.

"Probably because you’re not moving much. One you get exercising you’ll feel hungry again." Were’s were not meant to sit in caves and hide. They were active animals, hunters. Soon as they got to his house he would rectify that himself. "Just as long as you’re not feeling sick or anything."
She chuckled lightly. "As soon as we get moving again, I’ll be fine. But I’m not hungry now." She said, pushing the rabbit away. "I’m not really sick as much as tired. Stiff."

"I can promise you that at the very least." Cutter was undeniably glad he’d beefed up his home security recently. It had seemed like a bit of overcompensation for something when he had done it…but now that he had a mate and quite a few pups on the way… "How’re you feeling? The pups giving you any trouble?" Since he wasn’t fully a were, he was worried about them. So far, no problems…but Cora was only a few months in.
Cora smiled softly. "Good. At least I have a smart mate, huh?" She said, nibbling on the meat halfheartedly. "Oh… They’re kind of active, but not too badly. They don’t really want me to eat, I guess." She said, looking down at her swollen belly.

"I can’t say I’m surprised. Probably didn’t compensate for the recoil…but I don’t expect you to be doing that any time soon…that’s what I’m for." He paused to kiss her cheek. He hadn’t expected a mate any time soon…but that didn’t stop him from loving Cora. She was the kind of girl who he would have liked to have mated…and now he had. Sure booze had been involved but…same result.
She smiled softly, allowing him to kiss her. She was far more affectionate, the way she was now, but she did appreciate being loved. "That’s good, I guess. I don’t mind, really." She mumbled, popping a piece of rabbit into her mouth. "I’d like to have the pups born and raised somewhere safe." She said, wiping at the corner of her mouth.

"A full day’s walk on two legs, half that on four. If we can hitch a ride with some of my buddies from Fort Lewis though it’ll be even shorter. Just try not too look like a terrorist okay?" She didn’t look even remotely like one; Cora looked as she was. A quarter-term pregnant girl. "Once we’re there we can settle in and no one should bother us. Not unless they want to loose half their pack to landmines and tripmines and sentry guns." Being an ex-soldier had its uses. Knowing arms dealers was one of them.
How did she ever end up mating with a guy like him…? She sighed, remembering it vividly. A wild party with her brother. A crap load of liquor. Massive amounts of headache afterward. "Sounds fun…. I’m not a terrorist. I can barely shoot a gun, you know." She chuckled. "The last time I tried, I hit myself in the face." It was too completely true. "As long as we’re protected, I guess."

"Wet. Its…messy out there." Cutter settled himself across from her, passing over two rabbits. He’d see how much she could eat (and keep down, considering the pups) and then have some for himself. "Nother storm front’s rolling in…best if we stay here for a few more days I think. Then we can make it all the way back to my house."
She nodded, sticking her tongue out. "Lovely. Mud." Picking up one of the rabbits, Cora picked at the fur absently, listening to the rain. "How far away is it? Not that I mind. I can go as far as we have to."

Being a father was something Cal had NOT expected to have happen to him… And yet…here he was. With a shake of his fur, the Eraser MK 2 dried himself off, shifting to human form and carrying several rabbits for his mate. "Hey…feeling alright? I brought food…"
Sure, Cora wasn’t exactly planning on mating so early on in her life, but here she was, in a cave, pregnant with her first litter of pups. She was mostly bored all day, so when her mate walked into the den, she was laying on her back, paws in the air. "Hi…" She sat up, shifting into her human form and pulling her shirt on. "I’m fine. You?"
