Although dikučkas may seem cunning and slippery because of cat-related stereotypes, they cannot really boast of any special slyness. Rather the opposite: they are marked by incorruptible curiosity, simplicity, and straightforwardness. Nevertheless, because of their socialization, many of them are forced to grow up under the pressure of control and restraint, so that they can become convenient servants in noble households. Because of this, they are often melancholic. And Veesta is a wonderful representative of her species — except that, on top of everything else, she has picked up a taste for freedom, anxiety, and recklessness. For survival purposes, of course!

Let’s step a little away from Countryhumans!

Not so long ago, I really wanted to create my own setting — maybe even draw a visual novel. I wanted to develop it together with someone IRL, but in the end everything was carried only by my own enthusiasm. Still, some concept art, sketches, and a couple of mini-comics have survived. I want to show them here under the tag #gd Evanelle!

Concept art of the main characters from Evanelle [ɛ.vaˈnɛlʲ.lʲe], who will lead the narrative of my visual novel project. Iltastadum (Ільтастадум) — a main character, a Kresnik, tasked with saving the principality of Vajšnoria from a mysterious disease that consumes all living things in its path. He must also uncover the secret behind the magical enslavement of his homeland's lands. Veesta (Віста) — a key character in the main storyline, one of the few remaining free dikučka's, though at what cost — that’s another question. She was forced to join hike of Iltastadum to the capital of Vajšnoria. Kresniks are servants of the Sobor, whose service is centered around direct confrontation with dark magic and resisting it. They perform rituals of cleansing and protection, engage in missionary work, and take part in liturgical services. They are officially registered with the militant orders of individual temples.

On the eve of the 2025 elections in Belarus. Belarusians who are deemed potentially disloyal in terms of political activism are being mass-served with summonses to appear at local law enforcement offices — to “promise” they won’t protest during the elections (read: get them sat down quietly during voting so they don’t stick out).

What makes it even more absurd is that these summonses are being sent to the registered addresses of Belarusians who have been living abroad for years… A top-notch plan, reliable as a Swiss watch.

Q: What is the most traumatic event in your and/or the world's history? Q: Have you ever died? Or had a "before and after" point in your life? Tell us about these events.

The Great Terror of 1937. In Belarus, as across the entire USSR, thousands were arrested on fabricated charges of “counter-revolutionary activity,” espionage, or nationalism. Trials were little more than theater, and countless people were condemned to the highest penalty — execution by firing squad. The killings were carried out in secret, with bodies buried in unmarked mass graves, such as those later uncovered in Kurapaty near Minsk.

A short comic with Jan (Belarus in Exile, Belarus 1991–1995) and Natalia (Republic of Belarus, 1995–present) from 2024. I originally answered for him in an ASK, but decided to shift it into the theme of his imprisonment — to make it more aligned with reality.

One of my favorite kids is Jan. In general, I don’t really like calling him “2p!Nyo!”, because that puts him on a separate level from other versions — but if you treat “2p” as just a prefix, then Jan is, as of now, Belarus in Exile; in the past — the Belarusian People's Republic (BNR); and before that — the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (together with his wife, fem!Lithuania). He was born as the principalities of Hrodna and Navahrudak. He’s one of those characters who’ve gone through a long journey of development with me. I really love him.

Old but gold!

My old art of Belarusies(?), from 2022 i think. In fact, they’re Belarusian regions. I’ve write a big article with headcanons and all that, but I don’t think it’s really needed here. Maybe I’ll post it later when I’ve got some new art with them. Yup, he're (in heta versions for for simplicity) nyo 1p, 1p, nyo 2p, 2p.

I don’t really like their canon or fandom versions, so most of the time I create characters from scratch, just borrowing the Hetalia-style idea of a country-as-a-character.

Q: Do you serve in the military structures? Q: In which military operations did you personally take part? A top list of the worst nightmares would be most appropriate. What military awards have you received?

— Every firefight leaves an indelible mark on you, but if you keep replaying and chewing over each clash, then paragraph eight happens — you’re burned out. We don’t lose our minds from the killing itself, but from the waiting — who’ll be the first to squeeze the trigger: you, or your enemy? The waiting can last for weeks, even months, before they finally let you off the chain and you, dropping shit down your pants, rush forward to riddle some hajis, or gooks, or Japs. The climate melts your brainpan, the crawling filth eats at your body, and still you wait… There were nightmares aplenty, in Khe Sanh, Veracruz, on Guadalcanal, and goddamn Fallujah made its mark too. There were smaller skirmishes, like Grenada or the Yangtze, where we were kinda playing the rescuers. I’m the world champion at this, just so you understand. The devil’s own guard-dog butcher, in the service of Jesus — God have mercy, Christ.

Q: Mr. Wright, tell us about your attitude toward the Vietnam War.

I’ve accumulated quite a lot of works over the past few years, so I’d like to share them, gradually moving closer to the present ones. This series of drawings was prepared as a response to a question for my character, who is a mix of 1p+2p of my Hetalia OC USA, or for countryhumans — a fusion of the South and North of USA.
