born to george and diane martin, carmen wasn’t born into the life of wealth or fame. with two parents working to make ends meet, there wasn’t often a lot of family time. carmen spent a majority of her youth trying to make all the adults focus on her at family events or going through different obsessions of hobbies.
throughout her childhood, carmen “competed” with her sibling over attention, always feeling a need to outdo them in whatever she could. the only thing she hasn’t managed to completely (or to a high enough standard) win at has been cooking. while she’s a decent baker, it’s best to order out or smth else if she’s the one in charge of cooking.
