Guyse. Thoughts on this. The fact that they took note to mention this makes me feel crazy. Otto is frequently pictured with his hands in his pockets, his palms covered.
Showing your palms is noted as a sign of vulnerability and honesty... and Otto is so shady right? Why does he just get to be a walking enigma red herring guy like that!!!! Please elaborate i neeeeeeed to know about this dude.
Also sidenote I think it's so funny how nobody on the dev team settled on how to spell his last name. Even in the official book it's spelled Mentalis on his page header. Reminds me of the old official PN1 things saying 'Lobato' or 'Bodello'
I always imagine Otto from his Psychic 7 days and before as passionate about his psychic research, like how he is during his "these are dreams" speech and when talking about how "discovery is the true mission of the Psychonauts", but with a little more energy/enthusiasm because of Youth and also it's before Maligula. Back then he and his friends were pushing the boundaries of psychic science, discovering new things, and it would have been so exciting!
But then Maligula happened. And the Psychonauts organization, what came from their research was taking off due to Maligula's defeat and his friends were falling apart because of the loss they all went through. It was taking off and they were falling apart and I think that Otto moved to the front of it, smiling for the cameras, posing for pictures, all of that so that the organization didn't fall apart like they were because he just. Couldn't. Not with what an organization like the Psychonauts could mean, and it couldn't be another loss after they'd already lost so much.
So while he's smiling for pictures and still researching, he's definitely not as open and emotional as he used to be. He can't really afford to be, not with how he's really the only original member of the Psychic 7 who's really still around (since Ford can only really do stuff when around psitanium before Raz puts his mind back together and Compton is in psychoisolation all the time and says he's retired from spy work).

The kitchen remodel is a winner.

*inhales* milla vodello is a woman who has been deeply affected by the trauma of losing one’s own children but she still lives a very fulfilling life doing what she loves and has the love and support of those around her and has expressed sincere sadness learning about oleander’s plot and would most definitely want to help the asylum inmates rebuild their lives again and is just so strong and caring and a badass long story short i would sell my soul for her to have more screen time
