I recently got back into hockey (every couple years the brain worms return) and I recently found out I have a cousin who plays in the NHL (he’s like a second cousin, he might have been at some of our gatherings as a kid but I don’t actually know-know him) and thats making some of the posts i see on tumblr rn kinda awkward

been playing around with the for you page for tumblr, since it's really interesting to see what it will try and recommend for me.

some of it makes sense, like yeah, even though I don't interact with any DAV stuff because I don't care about veilguard, I used to be a big Dragon Age fan so it probably knows that I interacted with similar stuff in the past the bg3 and homestuck stuff makes sense too because of the same reasons

and then of course the random cute cat and animal posts are just typical internet recommendations

but then

why the fuck does it recommend me hazbin hotel hate posts like I've seen the same hate posts like 5 times now and I'm just really wondering where it's getting its algorithm from because I haven't even watched the shows, and as far as I know none of my mutuals are interacting/talking about this stuff
