Vox rolled his eyes, using his cane to tap Whitmore's ankle. "Maybe I just go find a more honest dinner partner," he quipped back.

Ames grinned back at them. "You did, several times, but I never get tired of hearing it," she teased back, leaning in for another quick kiss before seeing their drinks arrive. She smiled gratefully at the bartender. "Oh, and we're gonna need a tequila chaser as well," she added, picking up the glasses and handing one to Ike before downing hers. "You know, we literally could sneak out with a bottle, babe. Nobody would notice."

Ike was watching her with a grin on their face, as they took their own shot. Sometimes it still surprised them how much more at ease she was around them, though they settled their arm fully on her waist. "You sure about that, pretty sure your mom's always got a pair of eyes on us," they quipped, "Really going to think I'm a bad influence then."

Jenna shook her head. "I'm not going to say I told you so," she replied firmly, hesitating for a moment before downing the rest of her drink and turning around to join him in asking for another. "What I am going to say that I don't think you should let one girl ruin your entire night. You deserve to have fun too." She glanced at him with a small smile. "Come on, we're at a party. You're a cute, successful lawyer and there are plenty of hot, drunk, single people here. Who says you can't have a good time without her?"

Dominik was tapping his fingers against the bar occasionally tugging on his hair as he leaned against his other hand. If he was honest he was only half listening to her, before snorting when he caught the tail end. This time sipping idly at his shot, "You offering to keep me company or you going to go off with one of the hot, drunk people?" He had an amused smirk as he finished his shot, looking at her with a raised brow.

"yeah yeah whatever wanna be knight in shining armor." kota shook his head with a smile though, the bickering felt normal for them. honestly if they didn't he would assume something was off. "it doesn't sound too bad for a place like disney since they do fireworks and shit, who knows what could happen." he chuckled again. "well that all depends, you hungry?"

"Who you callin a wanna be?" Archer said, a fake look of offense on his face as he reached over and shoved Kota, "We both know I'd rock the armor look, might even try to make it work for Halloween this year." Leaning his head back in thought he hummed, "Honestly be more worried about that dragon they got," he mused. Glancing at Kota, he smirked, "Dude I'm always hungry, you got a secret menu or just got a craving for something?"

Skip was checking over his phone, glancing up and squinting in the bright sun. "Morning," he greeted, "Came to check up on my mom's horse, usually Carrie helps me out but guessing she's off today..." Pausing before holding out his hand, "Sorry my bad, I'm Skip, Skip Bettencourt," he said.

Phelan glanced between the two of them as Val looped her arm through theirs, and Phelan rested her head against Val's. "I don't think Marisol's the kind to quit something because someone told her to." she chimed in after a moment before adding "I could find him and tell him not to bring it up at the family dinner. I have a knife...knives"

"What she said," Val filled in, pointing to Phelan in agreement of both statements. "CU is like super important to Marisol. She's not gonna give that up because she has a tall boyfriend now." They had a pensive look on their face before continuing. "I don't really do knives. I'm more of a fists and blunt objects kinda person. Oooh, I can bring Justice when we go find him!" Justice was the name of her favourite baseball bat. Obviously.

"We are not cutting or beating the tall one, Mari loves both of you so the only one ending up dead from that is me," Gizmo said, even if he laughed. "Seriously that easy to get you guys to jump someone for me?" With most people he'd assume they were joking, with Phelan and Val? They fully believed it could happen. Glancing fully at Phelan he gave a small shrug, "You've talked to him a couple times, am I being that extra about this or he seem normal?"

It was a particularly busy night at the bar, which Dean didn't mind. It meant Tips were good and he'd get flirted with a lot, truly a confidence boost. So he was in his element. He got to his next customer when he saw it was a regular, he huffed a chuckled. "Well hello stranger!" He started grabbing a few things to make his next drink "Sorry its been so busy, how ya been handsome. You doing your usual? Or in the mood for something new?"

Gale was still trying to get use to going out, but In Shambles was usually a decent place to go and be invisible for a couple hours. Dean a welcome addition, close enough to his own age he didn't feel as odd chatting with. "Usual works for me, unless you got something you're itching to make," he said shrugging before giving him a brief once over, "Tips that good, or you got another reason for the pep in your step?"

She accepted the bread quietly, sipping her own drink while getting lost in thought for a moment. "I don't really have or make friends easily. Because I rarely ever think about anyone other than Copper, or myself. You also got hurt; I should have at least tried to send a text or something once I knew Copper was fine."

"What? No; I live with my sister," she shook her head hard, shoulders creeping up to her ears. "I was just curious. I work in the lower district, but I live in the upper district, which isn't exactly normal. So I was just curious if you lived here since you also worked here... And yeah, because of the whole OmniCorp thing. I can't imagine they'd want you going very far for safety reasons, probably."

Firas had to hide a smile behind his drink as he watched her, "So we're friends now?" His tone was light and teasing, but he was genuine in the question. She ran so hot and cold at times he wasn't sure whether she really liked him or not. Though with her next response he raised his hands in defense, "Hey was just checking," he said, giving half a shrug.

After the snowstorm, she'd been coming around more, that and texting had Firas feeling like Lacey at least liked spending time with him. Still other times it felt like he'd say or do something that have her clamming up, ready to bolt when as she put it 'perceived too much'. "Thanks for coming with," he said as the two walked around the middle district mall, "I'm not really good at picking out different paint colors and I know Jaime probably getting a lot of miniatures for his birthday." He hadn't told her he was colorblind, less embarrassed by that then how it had happened.

He had said that he wanted them to be close again - but Tanner didn't mean he wanted to reconnect with Yoel because their brothers had banded together and suddenly hated them. Tanner was at least sort of used to Yeager's mood swings. Yoel had never experienced Ven any other way but docile and compliant; sweet and accommodating.

"Brought pizza," he cast a glance down at the shoe rack, making note of how Chandler's chunky docs seemed to be absent. "Seems like I came over at the right time. Or does your girlfriend know about what's going on?" The question was light, but there was an urgency in the question. She wasn't supposed to know too much.

Yoel looked less than put together, he hadn't bothered to shave the past couple days, at most trimming to at least look presentable. Tanner was welcomed if unexpected, having let him in and grabbing two beer bottles from the fridge. Setting it on the table and shrugging, "What that my brother moved out and hates me?" he said dryly. "She knows there was a car crash and what we did to Ven on our end," he said, "She doesn't know anything about Yag."

Half of it was so Chandler could still leave if she wanted to, hell he still half expected her to leave him at this point. "You know I keep running it through my head, and there's a small part of me that wishes we had just strapped him down and made Ven forget again," he took a long sip of his beer, "Then I fucking hate myself for wanting the easy way out."

Yeager had always been particularly affectionate - often snuggled into the side of anyone who would let him. Karma and Ven usually got the brunt of it when he was away from home. He used to spend most of his time snuggled up with Alexander, and it was clear he was really missing it. But he was still far too hurt to even try to go back home. "Still? Jesus. That's such bullshit. The head of things is literally your dad. He should stop being a chickenshit and just fess up."

The circles relaxed him a little, and he peered up at Ven. "It was an accident. You didn't leave the club with the intention to kill me. Like, yeah, that's what set shit off but.... yours wasn't a conscious decision. My dad decided to just reconstruct me and not fucking tell me, ever. So what if I reacted badly the first time. Maybe just try again?" Yag let out a huff of air. "You're my best friend. I know you better than almost anyone. I don't want you to feel guilty about something that we all decided on. We all made the stupid fucking choice to drive home. None of us tried to persuade the other." All shockingly sensible, for Yag, but he had a lot of time to ruminate and sit with his thoughts. "I know you guys are happy I still exist. I'm not.... not happy that I exist. I'm just really unhappy that no one tried to tell me."

"He's not chickenshit," Ven grumbled, he tossed the pad aside, his head having that familiar ache, "Last time I asked him about some of it he said either he could tell me or Yoel could. Or just keep handing more of it to me." Shrugging he rubbed his temple with his free hand, "Part of me wants to hear it from them, but the other part wants to just read it and get it over with."

Ven swallowed thickly, "I know I just...they let Asuka take the blame for it. Like I was never mad at her about it, but she got stuck with everything and that's just..it's not fair." Maybe that was what was bothering him more than anything, Yag didn't know the truth about himself and Asuka had to sit with the truth alone. The Drakes had each other plus Cornelia and Yoel at the end of the day still had Josh, while Asuka got stuck with 3 friends in the dark if Ven included Karma.

"I would have told you if I'd known," he said softly, "I know I didn't take it well whenever I remembered back then. Figure that's what has Yoel freaked out but...I don't know is it bad I want him to feel like that? Or I don't know...I just...I need you to know I'm not going anywhere. I wouldn't do that to you or Asuka, like all this shit with my meds sucks but I don't...I want to be here with you and everybody, and figure all this out."

Pip wasn't unfamiliar with Blake; though he had heard about him more than he had seen him. It didn't shock him that he'd chosen to drop by when Pip's dad was out. "Uh.... Okay, um, I think maybe that corner would be good for it then? I think it just means it has to be inside."

Blake went and set the plant down where Pip motioned to. "Guess your dad can always move it if he wants." Shifting on his feet he rubbed the back of his neck. "Y'all been busy or do people just go to hotels these days?"

"I disagree..." she smirked a bit clearly not talking about his actual head or his Ego for that matter. "And a smart man too, look at that you're the total package. I rest my case." she said continuing with the joke. Seeing his ears go red made her stomach flutter a bit but she chocked it up to the wine taking a stronger effect on her body now. She saw that sweet expression fade as she went on about Chris.

She found comfort when he tightened his grip on her hand. Squeezing it back as her thumb moved gently against his skin. she looked around making sure to keep her voice lower when she brought up Skyport. "I had a lead that he might be alive, I was told of a man in the graveyard of the lower district who matched his description....but i didn't think it was true" shaking her head "I figured if he was alive and wanted to come home he would but not like that. He scared the shit out of me. He's lucky I didn't shoot him..." Though she wasn't even sure that would do anything to considering his upgrades. She froze bit when he asked about her siblings. "I- I was the last to find out....they all knew and didn't tell me so I really can't trust anyone right now...except you" She said softly a bit of pain in her voice.

Walt choked on his wine, grabbing a napkin to wipe around his mouth as he coughed to clear his throat. The red spreading from his ears to fully on his face. "Eleanor please...I'm becoming a tomato here," he said another nervous laugh slipping out. He was almost grateful that they had other things to discuss, his face slowly returning back to normal as he listened. "Ele...wait what," he couldn't hide the surprise and shock in his voice. Barely managing to keep it at a low level.

As much as he was reluctant to, he imagined Wells going missing and all his cousins finding out first. The thought alone made his stomach churn, let alone it was actually happening to Eleanor now. "Have you spoken to any of them since Chris-no, no you haven't," he finished before she could. A part of him wanted to shake them and ask what the hell they were thinking, the other other part was worried for all of them. "So what happens now, he keeps sneaking in like a vampire for quick chats?"

The cooler air was much needed, and Cosima stayed still just long enough for Quill to light her cigarette before she started moving - not quite pacing, but she couldn't ever sit still with so much on her mind.

"I don't know." She opted to answer him honestly. "Both? Neither? You know I don't date." And she hadn't - not before him. She'd sleep around with anyone who would give her the time of day, but she didn't let anyone stay or get close. Except him. "It's...." She struggled to find the words, chewing on her lower lip. "I don't.... want to be replaced. You know what happened. Jackson was born, and I was suddenly very unimportant to my parents. I don't.... know if I can handle that again." She hated being vulnerable. She refused to meet Quill's gaze, just fidgeting and chewing her lip and taking irregular drags from her cigarette. "You can't do that to me. But it's not like you can promise me you won't, either."

"I know," Quill agreed, his jaw clenched briefly, the only brief sign that her not dating had ever upset him. A part of him was happy he was the first, but it also meant he had no information to work off of when it came to how she might react to things. Which left Quill equally uncomfortable as she was, he was just better at hiding it. "Who says I can't?" he said softly. Unlike her, he'd been taking slow, meticulous drags before tossing it down before crushing it under his shoe.

His mind felt like it was on overdrive, trying to calculate the risk over anything he might say or do. "Who am I going to replace you with...and don't give me that look. Name someone, name anyone who I've even given 50% the amount of attention I've given you since we met," he said. If she knew the truth about him, maybe he'd make a joke that something had glitched that had made him so obsessed with her. But even if there was, he wouldn't have changed it.

Reaching forward he tilted her face back up with two of his fingers on her chin. "If I wanted to I could go back inside and find someone who either wants my money or my body. Might even find one or two who actually want just me," he said, "But that's boring. It's easy and simple, it's why I don't date." Sure he'd had the occasional date to an event, but an actual partner? None. "This is what I want, I want to figure out what you want before you even do. I'm not leaving until you find someone better for you than me. And even then I promise you, they're not lasting as long as I have."

"don't go getting a big head now..." Eleanor gave him a side glance taking her fourth glass and sipping a little from it. Mostly hoping to hide the blush forming on her cheeks. He still had that effect on her even after all this time. That young lady that fell so hard for him that summer was still there. She leaned forward to maybe get his eyes to look at hers. "You are an amazing father figure Walt. Especially with the circumstances, and you've grown into a very good man." Shaking her head at him.

"No...Walt you don't understand skyport they...kept him alive...or brought him back to life. He was in my house, he held me....I could physically touch him" she squeezed his hand. "You're the only one I trust to talk to about this....."

"I have an very average size head," Walt quipped back, when his gaze met hers he froze. A nervous giggle slipping out as he felt his ears burn red at the praise. "Well if you think so, I'm not about to argue with a lawyer. I know better," he said, giving a sheepish shrug. Whatever warmth he'd been feeling turned to dread as she spoke. Searching her face for any signs this was another bad night for her, swallowing when he could hear it in her voice.

The mention of Skyport made him shiver, his grip tightening on her hand, like he was afraid they'd take her then and there. "You didn't get much warning before he showed up did you?" He asked voice soft, the bar visits making more sense in hindsight. "I'm here, whatever you need, I'm here," he said, "Have you told your siblings yet?" Considering she was Chris's twin he assumed she was the first to have contact.

"Can - can we be friends one day?" Sylvan asked "It doesn't have to be in public" they added on quickly "I could pay for you to still come here. It wouldn't even have to be all the time and we wouldn't have to do anything. I mean not anything anything, but we could, I don't know, play cards or something. I have cards. That's something friends do, right? I just - I don't expect you to need me like this forever, you're - you're too amazing for that and I'm just me, but I don't want to - my days are just better when you're in them. They always have been." they finished, before quickly adding on more again "If not it's okay, I mean I'd understand. You might not have the time, or want to come to a place like this anymore, but maybe you could say hi at the book store or just wave. A wave would be fine. I'd be okay with just that."

Rick was probably a bad person, not evil, but definitely not a good one. It was hard not to enjoy someone giving you that much attention. "Depends, you let all your friends fuck you?" He didn't really mind either way, but he was a little curious how far Sylvan was pushing for things between them. "My house wouldn't work, but actual work should be fine," he added after thinking it over. Venus wasn't one to ask about his personal business, nor was anyone else. The perks of working with the mafia he mused to himself. "Could show you some of the art I've made, mean if you actually want to see it," was he intentionally fishing for compliments for the future? Yes.
