"Dear Stranger" by Shizuka Yokomizo (1998-2000)
Between 1998 and 2000, Japanese photographer Shizuka Yokomizo initiated a quiet, intimate experiment.
She sent letters to her neighbours, asking them to stand in their windows at a specific time, with the lights on, for five minutes.
The result is a haunting series that blurs the line between voyeurism and consent, anonymity and connection. A silent agreement sealed in glass.
