The video was taken in 2019 by Wendy Bower-Leech on a trip with the shark cage diving company Calypso Star Charters off the coast of Port Lincoln, South Australia

This untagged individual has a length of 3.5 m

Normally when sharks are turned upside down they experience a trance-like condition known as tonic immobility but that is not the case here, the fish is fully conscious and active, it could be that the animal might even show some sort of play behaviour here considering the fact that great white sharks are very intelligent
