"Ancient and Modern intrigue me in many ways. It's amazing how they've developed through time." She chuckled before looking over at him when he asked of her teammates. A small sigh escaped from her.
"Not many I'm afraid. A few have accepted Earth as their new home due to the war and have learned a thing or two about this world. But there are others are not in agreement. Such a pity." She shook her helm in shame.
"Are we so different from them? Do they not suffer or share joyous moments like we do? Have they not have experience in war like us? Do they not live and die like us? Must we discriminate them just because they are humans? Yes, they are like us. Some are good. Some are evil. Just like us. Yes, we are different but at the same time we are equal."
"Not too fond of their modern culture honestly. I find the old stuff more exciting." He reasoned. more big battles and such, and the mythology that came with it? Absolutely fascinating in his eyes. He'd much rather read about dragons and knights than current affairs.
At her questions he hummed and raised a hand. "In order. Biologically speaking no, yes they do, yes they do again, affirmative, no." He responded. "The humans would call your team-mates is 'stick in the muds' or something. I don't really want to be on Earth, but I'm here. Learning about it can't hurt."
To be fair, Leah was so used to seeing random vehicles out and about nowadays, that she wasn’t really surprised to see the Nighthawk just sitting out. Once upon a time, the girl would have thought nothing about it and instead would have stolen it or stolen parts from it. But ever since Starscream and the other bots had entered in her life, she had started to keep an eye out for random Cybertronians.
So this time, she approached the Nighthawk and, under her breath, murmured, “If you don’t want me to go inside you and take you apart for parts, I’d speak up now. Otherwise, I’m going to assume you’re normal and do it anyways.”
Oh dear. Another one that knew about his kind. Well there was no point in even trying to hide it now was there? He hated when this happened admittedly. As if his disguise wasn't easy enough to see through already. He did speak, his voice gruff and quite clearly accented. "I'm old, but I'm not deaf. You even try that human, and see how far it'll get you." He grumbled, before realising something. "Oh and you'd take apart a jet like this? Disgraceful."
Even if it wasn't practical. He did love his alt, and the thought of someone taking it for scrap was genuinely insulting.
"I wouldn’t be so sure, but we’ll see." He may well opt to be distracted by spiders and possible hauntings for hours; it would be a small matter for the other to slip back home in the meantime. Chill matched the smaller seeker’s pace still, hands clasped behind his back to keep them from getting into trouble. There was plenty of that to look forward to. “I don’t much like surprises.”
"Fingers crossed." He muttered, albeit partially in jest. He didn't bear much ill will towards the larger seeker after all. "There's all sorts of creepy old human buildings in the countryside though." He said, trying to at least make conversation. "I found a tiny cottage abandoned once. Turns out it was a set for some kids show with puppets." He chucked dryly. "Humans just forget about these things."
When her scanner had blipped in recognition of another Cybertronian life she had been quick to investigate more out of her own curiosity then Decepticon recon. Upon landing and meeting the other she blinked not really sure how to approach.Â
"I’m not lost…I located your signal and was interested. I don’t intend to cause trouble. My designation is Starflash, and you are?"Â
He raised his optic ridges in surprise. "huh! Well that's a first." He muttered to himself. Most people who found him were lost, and didn't come looking for him purposefully. The fact that she had honestly made him suspicious. She could quite easily be lying about not wanting trouble, after all.
"M'name's Claymore. Seeker, Neutral, swordsmech, live in that hangar." He informed her, jabbing a thumb back at it and then looking her up and down. "Nice to meet you Starflash."
"Sooo Coooooool!" Splotch laughed happily and tried to stay still, but the tip of his tail was practically vibrating. "Whooo! Adventure!"
He couldn't help but laugh at the Kaiju's exuberance. "Aye lad! Adventure!" He exclaimed, feeling oddly happy in Splotch's company as he began to soar high above the clouds.
At the speed they were going it would be a relatively short time until they reached their destination.
tiniestracer approaches...
Claymore had lost track of two things that day, namely time and location. mostly because he'd fallen into recharge due to sheer lack of energy. Searching for energon mines to raid was tiring. So when he woke up, with another Cybertronian standing over him, he slowly sat upright, and stared at them.
"Who are you, and where the blue blazes am I?"
pain-demands-us-to-feel-it approcahes...
Oh dear, if he had to take a guess that was a Decepticon, and it would appear she was heading towards him. He shuttered his optics tightly for a moment silently hoping that she wasn't looking for a fight, before slowly getting up from where he sat outside his hangar, and turning to face her.
"Y'lost or something?"
sashayingunderfoot approaches.
Uh oh. human alert. Very nearby too. Claymore was honestly luck he spotted her when he did or he might not have had time to hide and transform, but as he transformed, he internally groaned. Either way he was still in plain sight next to his hangar, and with his alt being as conspicuous as it was (F-117 Nighthawks weren't, and to his knowledge never had been, a common sight), he stood out like a sore digit.Â
"Yeah! My Auntie Otachi could fly, but memories aren’t anything like the real thing!" he giggled happily.
He chuckled lightly at that comment. "Best part is; my alternate form is an old human stealth jet. Nigh invisible to radar. Once I get above the clouds, we got no chance of being seen."
"How fascinating. I consider myself odd in my species. There's something about the humans and their cultures that intrigue me." A smile crept on her face as she thinks back on the facts that she learned while studying of them.
"Not many of my team members are too thrilled about it. Always giving me an expression." A sigh was let out while shaking her helm slightly.
He raised his optic ridges in surprirse at that statement. "Aye, is a tad odd i suppose. I'm mostly interested in their ancient cultures rather than the modern ones though." In his opinion modern human culture was particularly boring.
The comment about her team mates caught his curiosity. "Not too fond of humans are they?" He asked, cocking is head to one side.
Windchill’s audials perked up in pointy surprise; he hadn’t been sure the mech was at all sincere. With a snort he skipped after him, but would overtake and possibly trample him at that gait, so he slowed to a similar hokey-pokey pace.
"If this is a trick to get rid of me by dumping me next to a forsaken barn, I’m going to be mildly disappointed."
He snorted and shook his head. "Yeah because dumping you outside a barn that's a stone's throw away from where I live, is really gonna work isn't it?" He snarked, not even looking back and continuing to walk onward. "When I decide to get rid of you, it'll be much more elaborate." He informed him, grinning to himself all the while."
"Sounds almost long to me. I've read a few things about this country and it seems to be beautiful." Adriana bit her lips a little as they spoke. Even while waiting, she wanted to speak to him and perhaps to get to know him a little bit more. After all, he seemed to be helping her in a way.
He nodded in response. "Aye it is quite pretty, even if it does rain all the bloody time." That was an exaggeration, of course, There was a good amount of fair weather here too. "Lotsa culture and history too. It's where I picked my name up from, based on their old two handed swords."
"Okay!" Splotch looked out over the dome and giggled. "No problem!" he grinned and giggled. "oh my gosh i’m flying!"
"Having fun?" He asked, chuckling slightly and banking. "It's pretty incredible, even when you're used to it like me." He admitted, enjoying the sensation of soaring through the sky.
"Hmm. You said there were also spiders, yes?" This was a very important consideration. "I can start a new spider colony, perhaps." He probably should have kept that idea to himself, but from his perspective it was a very compelling argument to go and check the place out.
"Yes."
He exvented loudly and turned on his heel. "Had a feeling you'd say something like that. Its not far. C'mon." He said, gesturing for the larger Seeker to follow him as he trudged down the runway. If this Decepticon wanted spiders inside him so be it, Claymore wasn't getting involved though.
"Claymore?"
There was a groan before the mech sat up in berth, kicking his legs over the side and squinting at the door. He slowly lifted a finger and pointed at the mech in the doorway. “Hang on… I know this one… Dusklight, right?
Dusklight fluttered his wings as he smiled, “Oh, sure! Thank you very much! But… Is it really okay? I don’t want to bother you or anything.”
He waved a hand at him. "No bother. Lemme get some fuel in me first though." He muttered, heading into the storage area and returning with two cubes of energon. "It ain't much, but here. Drink up." He said, handing one cube to Dusklight before slugging his own back unceremoniously.
