Super ‘Streak’ por John Whitehouse Por Flickr: John Cameron’s former LNER Class A4 No. 60009 ‘Union of South Africa’ is digging into the change of gradient having just passed through Carrbridge station on 4th July 2009. Here it changes from a gentle 1-in-500 through the station to 1-in-100 as the five mile climb to Slochd Summit commences. Soon it will stiffen further to 1-in-60, followed by a short one mile respite to 1-in-92 prior to the final two mile slog to the top at 1-in-70.
