My latest card from my Mexica tarot deck, ¨Chiconahui Chalchihuitl, Nine of Jade¨ is available from my Etsy Store by following this link A woman stands before a great pitaya cactus, covered with fruit, on her estate. She is richly dressed, her huipil and enagua beautifully embroidered of expensive cotton and with rare colours, and she wears jade earrings and golden bracelets, unselfconsciously displaying her wealth. Fruits grow from her pitaya plant, but also 8 jade glyphs, symbolising the realisation of her desires. She holds in one hand the 9th jade, displaying her uncomplicated relationship to riches, and her control over her wealth. On her other hand sits a domesticated hawk, symbolising her self-control as well as her intuition. In the distance is her home, a beautiful and stately building, which is a further sign of her comfortable position in life. This card suggests the rewards of labor, the wealth that comes from a job well done, and speaks to financial independence. She is not afraid to spend her money on beautiful things, although she does so carefully and wisely. Her wealth, like the pitaya cactus, blooms and grows, and she has come to the point where she can enjoy its fruits.
