Innovator takes Pickle’s hand and pulls it up to his lips, peppering kisses over each and every knuckle like paying tribute. He is a god now, he deserves as much. “Darling, let me show you my most recent work.” He pulls the Godhead down the hallway and to the basement stares. “I’ve discovered a way to enchant items with more than one sphere of magic…It’s still quite unstable, but it’s a start-” He never lets go of the hand, as if afraid Pickle may disappear. “Just down here-” He descends slow and careful, each shift of his frame pushing up harsh angles against his clothing. “Perhaps if I can succeed in harboring two magics in one place, I could visit you…” It’s a nice thought to carry him through the weary days, at least.

Being pulled along made him feel wanted and that alone got him excited to see what all the work looked like. Pickle follows curiously, down along with the one he admired so much. Down the stairs they went and Innovator’s hand was being held on tight as not only reassurance to the other, but also so he would be sure not to be left behind. Especially on a dark descent.

“That is amazing... It would be wonderful if you could manage to visit me. How is it unstable, may I ask? Or is that what you are figuring out at this point?”

@cyprusdream The moment Pickle folds into the reality of Innovator’s livingroom he’s beset upon by arms that snare him into a hug. Innovator runs ice cold these days, feeling more air and bone beneath his clothing than man but no less affectionate for it. He buries his face into the other man’s neck, sharp fingers lovingly stroking over his back. “I missed you.” He says it with a breath he’s been holding for days, exhaling happiness.

Pickle is shocked when he is immediately hugged, but gives a small laugh and returns it. His arms holding tight but not enough to hurt much. He has never felt so SO comforted and happy to see someone. Well- not in the same way at least? The Inspector returns the soft actions and rubs his back.

“I’ve missed you, too. So much. Regardless, how do we plan to spend our time today?”

You mmean it? You’ll be able to visit? I would love that, a lot, actually. But the house is a mess…I’ll have to set a few charms going to clean it up. Give me just a bit of time to get it presentable for you?

The realms are quite wonderful! And I am taking care of them as I should now, much like one would care for a garden. It is the same concept and the plant imagery will not cease, for me. It’s great! How are things with you?

I’m sso glad things are going well. I knew you would make a proper Godhead. I wish I could see it, darling.

I’ve been just fine. The City is quiet, well. Relatively so. At the very least nothing is threatening to kill us all. Most days I try to go about with Scoundrel business that has to be handled. It doesn’t work out well when we seem absent.

So. I sleep and work, hahah. That’s about it.
