I saw something that was like “we put our lives on pause, but getting vaccinated can help us be able to hit play again” and it just bothered me because I’m not just starting again where I left off. I graduated from college in spring of 2020. I’m never going back to living there and regularly seeing my college friends. I’m never getting my graduation ceremony. I’m not getting my last months of college back. They’re gone!

So anyway this post is dedicated to anybody who went through any transitional period during the pandemic. Whether you graduated, lost somebody, moved, or anything else where you will never truly be able to get the last months/year of [whatever] back. It’s so easy to feel like you should be over it by now and just be grateful whenever you can eat in a restaurant and go into stores again but you lost more than that.

I’m just tired of seeing so many things about “going back to normal” when a lot of us don’t have the same “normal” to go back to.

We really need to address the fact that women aren’t more likely to be asexual than men. Ace men are more likely to be closeted especially to themselves because society tells them that they must be sexual/are sex obsessed/be attracted to people and in particular women. And it can be extrememly difficult to look at yourself and say “wow I guess I’m not the way society says I should be”.

Ace men deserve mad respect for figuring themselves out.

just bc it could work doesn’t mean it should have to. when disney bought fox, they knew what they were getting. deadpool is a franchise with two r rated predecessors and disney trying to keep their family friendly image while owning it is a big example of “maybe you shouldn’t have bought it”. not to mention the fact that we already would have had deadpool 3 bc 21st century (as a smaller movie house) considered it a priority. for disney, it’s just another notch on the bed post

-deadpool flirted with men and women on screen

-negasonic teenage warhead (main character in both films) was a canon lesbian with a girlfriend

-a maori teen was cast as a villain that was white in the comics then given a redemption arc/mentioned the emotional trauma of the foster system

-deadpool shot a p*dophile

-josh brolin had a lil crush on ryan reynolds and I know in my heart 100% would have kissed him on camera

-domino was a superhero with vitiligo

if disney won’t even honor the precedent set by TWO r rated films prior to #3 well.........I don’t think that’s a good sign

All I'm saying is that Ryan Reynolds should ask Netflix to let him make an R rated parody movie where the main character is an undying mercenary and the main villain is a super intelligent billionaire rat that owns several amusement parks. The main character's boss was a talking fox that homed other superpowered heroes until they were all crushed by the evil rat's "heroes" and bought out by their enemy leaving the main character as the last independent hero competing against this massive massive hero corporation. Idk, might be a bit too subtle
