āOnce, I saw a bee drown in honey, and I understood.ā
ā Nikos Kazantzakis, Report to Greco
Saying āgo to sleep, youāll feel better in the morningā is the human equivalent of saying āhave you tried turning it off and on againā
āI want to take good photos. Drink dark coffee. And travel the world.ā
ā Nina H. (via perrfectly)
modern day romance is being considerate enough to tell me that you wonāt be able to respond to my texts/calls because youāre busy with your own shit. and in return i appreciate that consideration and leave you to your own personal affairs because weāre two people in a relationship with our own seperate lives. cute.
reminder: you can start over at anytime. your day is not ruined. your world is not over. take a deep breath. start over.
Schizophrenia:Ā patients usually have less brain tissue
Major Depression:Ā scans show less brain activity in depressed brain
Alzheimerās:Ā brain tissue significantly shrinks, hippocampus is usually the first region to go
ADHD:Ā less brain activity in the frontal cortex (area associated with decision making)Ā
OCD:Ā high brain activityĀ
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD):Ā hippocampal volume reduction (area involved in memory) and increased activation of the amygdala (area involved in emotional responses)Ā
This is so important! I usually donāt reblog posts but people need to understand that mental illnesses are NO CHOICE! You cannot get over it, or snap with your fingers and just be okay again. It takes constant fixing and a lot of strength to get out of this. So to everyone who judges people with mental disorders: people donāt get a choice to develop a disorder or not, but being stupid and telling them to get over it is a choice. PLEASE DONT JUDGE THINGS UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND!
i wanna shove these in my momās face every time she says ājust push through itā
Going to start sending this to people.
I want to print posters of this and put it up everywhere. Iām sick of people who donāt understand telling me to justĀ ācalm downā orĀ āget over itā orĀ āsnap out of itā.
