can we all agree that, at least in high school, Rabbit HAVE called Fox the F-slur? Like insulting him 'cause they grew up in the late 70's-early 80's, I think it makes so much sense.
Something something hunting and being a wolf used as an analogy for toxic masculine gender expectations and heteronormativity, which wolf is constantly punished for subverting, something something gay analogy something something Fox reassures him about being a big strong wolf while never demonizing male femininity for either of them something something everybody say thankyou writers this is very tasty food
Do you all think Wolf and Fox have a small, big or no age gap? Personally I like big age gaps but I don't know how to make it work sincw I think Wolf is older but not over 50 or 45 y.o. and I don't want to make Fox 30-something or below, but also being 40 just doesn't cut it, he's gotta be 45 y.o. AT LEAST , but then 5 years age gap is too small of an age gap for me.
I hate me and my obssesion with age gaps.
anyhow, here you go with some of my DETN headcanons, most of them are about Simon 'cause I'm projecting on him btw.
• Once Fox gets more involved with Wolf's family Barry and Simon kinda "Pick their favorite parent" and Fox becomes Simon's favorite, and so they get closer as the dad who involuntarily stepped up and son.
• In his teenage years, around 14 or 15 y.o. Simon starts really getting into Punk fashion and starts making patch-work in his own clothes, and Fox helped him with it, taking care of a somehow fashion-entushiast teen makes him feel closer to Wolf and Simon as a family, and, of course, Barry. But his relationship with Barry is mostly Bathing him, cleaning his face after eating and mending his clothing when they get ripped after playing outside with Simon and Lucy, and his relationship with Simon his mostly sharing interest and acting as a "Voice of reason" for him, because he doesn't like listening to his dad.
• Barry loves watching musical disney movies and Simon loves musical theatre as in broadway and west-end musicals. Mostly West-end because Fox convinced him that it was better because it's in the UK and America sucks.
•Barry's favorite musical is Wonka, he forced Wolf to watch it with him in the cinema 6 times in a row while they sang together to the lyrics, and no one told them nothing 'cause they were predators.
• When he turned 13 he started listening to edgy music, at 14 he became a Punk fan but didn't have a favorite punk band
, if anyone asks his favorite band is Black flag, reality? It's MCR and Bloodhound Gang, even if they're NOT punk.
• Simon's first time learning about Punk's ideoligy was like a God's calling to his teenage rebelious predator self
• In DETN predators are mostly treated like in Zootopia, they are feared and discriminated like somekind of racism, and that phused Simon to get into punk and try make a difference through music and graffiti for some reason
• Simon loves art and Barry loves watching and try to help his big brother to make patches for his vest/jacket/pants

Wolf is such a good boyfriend, honestly thought he would actualy say that Fox was gaining weight but no!!! He's so healthy even as a boyfriend, not just as a father.
