Dear Mom,
I’ve often tried to find the right words to express what you mean to me, but words, I’ve realized, always seem to fall short when it comes to describing the infinite. Because that’s what you are to me: infinite. An unending source of love, strength, and wisdom.
I think about how your presence is like the quiet, powerful pull of the moon on the tides—constant, patient, and serene, always shaping the waves of my life without me even realizing it. There is something deeply sacred in that kind of love, a love that gives without ever asking, a love that is woven so effortlessly into the fabric of who I am. You have been the architect of my heart, shaping it with your kindness, your courage, and your unshakable belief in me.
Life, as I have come to understand, is a mosaic of experiences, both beautiful and painful, and you have taught me how to find the beauty even in broken pieces. You taught me that strength is not the absence of fear or pain, but the ability to rise and embrace life despite them. In every moment of doubt, in every storm I’ve faced, you were the anchor I held on to, the steady hand that reminded me that it’s okay to be vulnerable because vulnerability is the birthplace of growth.
More than anything, you have shown me that love is the truest form of art. It’s not found in grand gestures or elaborate words, but in the smallest, quietest moments—the gentle touch of reassurance, the warm laughter shared over a cup of tea, the silent knowing that no matter where I am in the world, I am never alone. You are the artist who painted the colors of love, compassion, and resilience into the canvas of my soul.
As I move through life, I carry with me not just the lessons you’ve taught me but the essence of who you are. You’ve shown me that life is not just about the destination but the beauty of the journey itself. And even when the path ahead seems unclear, I find peace knowing that the foundation you built within me is strong enough to weather any uncertainty.
In your wisdom, I see the universe; in your kindness, I see the light of humanity; and in your love, I see the very essence of what it means to live fully and authentically. You are not just my mother—you are my guide, my muse, my eternal source of light.
Thank you for being the embodiment of grace in a world that often feels chaotic. Thank you for teaching me that beauty lies in both the struggle and the triumph. But most of all, thank you for showing me how to live with a heart wide open.
I love you more than words could ever say, and I carry you with me in everything I do.
With all my heart and soul,
“Please stop destroying what is left of your heart by constantly thinking about things that have broken you.”
