I just watched this episode last night, and my heart STILL hurts.

God DAMN that was gorgeous animation though!!!

So I accidentally started a war with my Aunt today over this post on FB. I reposted this topic because, I mean, how beautiful is that?! Both visibly, and symbolically, I find this image beautiful (which is a big deal for me, I’m not the patriot of my family.)

And of course, my bible-belt aunt had to make a post: “So wrong. So against God :(”

Needless to say, I was irked. I had seen her posts crying about the legislation, but rather than force my belief onto another, I kept my mouth shut and did my celebratory posts on my own page. I should have known I was about to start shit, but she came to me.

I replied (thinking I was going about it the classiest way I could): “I’m sorry you feel that way. Personally I am, for once, proud of my nation. Finally we have marriage equality for all people.”

And then the war started. I won’t give you her responce, because there is enough of that hate speech on the inter-webs, but honestly, I really wanted to get that off my chest.

I am terrified of confrontation, but am fighting for what I believe. I just hope she’ll accept my suggestion of “Agreeing to Disagree” and not try to pull the rest of my family into this.

If she does, I’m afraid I might have to open up about some things that I’ve been keeping from my family in order to keep them close. My family are almost all super strict Christians, and I am a bisexual Pagan. There are only certain members of my family that I am actually worried about loosing, but it is still something I dread.

Just needed to get that off my chest. Thank you tumblr.

I MAY have ranted too soon... She liked my last response 25 minutes ago and hasn't said anything since... I think she's agreeing to disagree! And just cause I'm proud of my responce, here's what I said: "Jesus never said anything about homosexuality. What Jesus did, is die so that his followers no longer had to follow in the dogmatic way of the Pharisees. The one who DID say something was the apostle Paul, who is known for being a bit extreme in his gospel anyhow. So please do not speak of "Truth for Jesus".

For anyone wondering why we’re all crying about the Unravel presentation at E3 today, here is the presentation.  After hours of stuffy old people just reading off of scripts and trying to make awkward jokes to fit in with the youngins, it was SO refreshing to have someone come on stage and be so… sincere, and in love with their game.  His raw emotions and true passion really captured my interest and, I think, the hearts of everyone watching.

Also, the little “hi!” from Yarny is cavity-inducing sweetness, omg.

Well, it’s time I got round to celebrating hitting a five digit follower count, and why not do so with an art giveaway, to say thank you to everyone who follows this lame blog, and just to give something back to y’all. reasons why my grandpa is the best:

he made my wife and i (i’m a woman) a giant banner for our one year anniversary 

when i was pregnant, the baby was kicking and when he touched my belly, the baby stopped and he called him a little shit

he once called and left a voicemail asking how to spell styrofoam

he flipped a table bc he saw someone hit a dog

he beat skrim in 4 days

he served in the korean war and when he came home, he learned korean so if he ever ran into a korean vet, he could “give them the same respect he’d give an american vet”

my son has two moms and there was a “special guy in your life” day at his school for father’s day so my grandpa went and showed up in dress pants and a pressed shirt bc he “didn’t want to embarrass him”. also, there was a little boy who didn’t have anyone there and grandpa asked if he could be his “special guy” and the little boy beamed

he knows all of the secrets to the zelda games

he’s had 4 open heart surgeries and can still kick your ass
