God Beardsley is the funniest person on the planet, IDGAF. Some more payoff this season would have been nice for sure but there’s so many other great and longer intrepid heroes seasons with more depth and overarching plot. This season was short sweet and something different, with a completely new system for the show and an open world/sandbox with 6 less episodes than usual. This season I was here to laugh and love and have fun with the cast while getting some life lessons and good politics on the side. The AI bit and the clown were out of left field, good LORD, but I was laughing and so was everyone else at the table. Ally Beardsley you are the funniest person ever and even if HJ is a little FREAK, he really made the season for me. All in all, CCOD is not my favorite D20 season for sure (shoutout Starstruck for REAL) but I love the Intrepid Heroes and BLeeM together and it was fun to see something new from D20.

Wait lmfao. Wait, wait, wait. Darkness man’s entire arc kind of has the feel of a Hallmark holiday romance.

Overworked superhero coming from the big city to a small town. He’s exhausted by his old life and yearns for something simpler and more true to his ideals. Something closer to Omaha. Meets this really cute, calm dude that tries to get him to relax and take part in a local [monster] pastime. Takes him on a night hike. Asks him out for another in the future.

Cody isn’t the exact reason Darkness Man stays, buuuuut… he is a large contributing factor to Mitch’s happiness in choosing to stay because he gets another superhero partner to form a league with.

Before anyone gets too mad at Ally Beardsley and/or Emily Axford for not being realistic and serious enough during the finale I would like to point out that Brennan has basically given up on making this combat not run on dnd rules. (He isn't super familiar with how world of darkness works btw.)

batbondana means sooo much to me because zaeth acts so different with her in such a cute way. they have a unique relationship where normally zaeth is so cryptic and insane but hes so sincere w her specifically. im going insane they’re so super cute. she’s his soft spot i think.

I can't hate the finale because Lou's howling laughter makes everything amazing. When Lou is losing it, I smile.

Sure, it was crazy and chaotic, but as soon as Lou starts crying laughing, any skepticism or criticism melts away. He truly controls the temperature in the dome.

I'd also like to shout out Murph's truly unparalleled straight-manning abilities, because HJ trying to fuck a dying clown in a ditch is funny, sure, but Murph insisting Beardsley retake their turn is what pushes it over the top to unforgettable.
