It’s actually insane when someone asks me “where are you from? like are you from china?” But gets irritated when i ask “where are you from? are you from africa?”

Like get over yourself, not everything revolves around America.

Fuck you. Don’t talk to me. Just because I used to work at Boeing, doesn’t mean I want to talk to you about your concerns about the company. I’m still gonna fly Boeing. Airbus is still inferior. You’re still gonna keep flapping your mouth and I still don’t care.

Would it be wrong to ask people what they are? I mean, I’m Asian (I guess). Filipino to be exact.. but I’m often asked :

Are you Korean?

Are you Japanese?

Where are your parents from?

What ethnicity are you?

What Asian are you?

Like how do you answer these questions and how do you go forward with the conversation?

Even my wife can’t answer “What white are you?”

I would say, American. But does that really suffice as an acceptable answer? I could say the same thing but others would follow up with “what’s your ancestry?”

Give me a break.

This post is for those who are always asking what kind of projects I’m up to whenever I buy stuff from @avon_menards. Last month, we made a media console, aka a tv stand. We had various ideas but the two big things we really wanted was to accommodate for the size of the tv and to have a small shelf for the sound bar (which fits perfectly under the tv). The materials cost us just under $80, but the worth of a project like this with labor is about $200 worth. It’ll last us for a very long time, rather than buying something cheap that’s made of particle board.
