hc that michael and vanessa were homeschooled and isolated from most kids outside of being at freddy’s so their only exposure to real life human interaction was their father and the character showtapes at freddy’s. vanessa turned out fine enough (so pretty bad) but since michael was so obedient, he basically never learned how to interact with people in a normal way
