This often means moving to a new city where they won't get a paycheck for weeks. Black students are also less likely to have access to generational wealth to keep them afloat during school. The realities/dangers of being a woman that we are taught starting as young girls (and it's even more dangerous for women of color 🤦🏽‍♀️).

and while all of these "life skills" are true and so helpful, I still wonder why the conversation isn't to teach AND display to young boys to respect girls/women so that they don't grow up to be men that we have to fear.
