Treasure your little. Don’t take them for granted.
As someone who recently didn’t go the extra mile required for my little, I lost her and to this day I’m crushed I don’t get to see her as a person or a little, my little.
Without actual details, we just had to cancel the relationship. Regardless, I loved my little unconditionally and she loved me. That will likely never change, but as a delicate person on both sides I wasn’t able reassure her the things required for us . This is my fault.
So do not make the mistake and ever miss a moment to tell your little one how important to you they are. Even if you are sure they know, it never hurts to be re-assuring.
There was nothing more soul warming than “daddy, daddy, daddy” levels of excitement just for you. I’m sure anyone who’s a caregiver would agree, and without it i feel empty inside.
So learn from my mistake and always always show them how much you care.
