The hand movement throughout the scene of Jace being returned to Rhaenyra — from trying to process grief and not knowing what to do and wanting to shake/slap him awake but still be gentle with him as he is her eldest child, her heir, her first born, and then going back to hold him as she weeps — was a brilliant acting choice to convey Rhaenyra’s emotions in real time. The grief, the rage, the sadness, the weight of Jace’s death all captured by hand movements and shielding Jace as if to still try and protect him.
