thanatos was written to have been hateful to mankind, though damian is nothing of the sort. dame would go out of his way to help others even though he’d get nothing in return. in one of the myths, thanatos was indiscriminate, choosing to kill even though the person in question even though they were rich. he didn’t give it too much thought. in this way, thanatos and damian are similar. he doesn’t judge people randomly nor based on their wealth, status, ethnicity, etc; but rather their actions.
he accidentally makes the worst first impressions because he’s usually too quiet on the first meeting. “who’s that huge douchebag you brought with you? he barely said two words to any of us.” in reality, he was too anxious to really say anything. he’s the type to try and get in little jokes as he listens to everyone else speak.
boy, once you get past that stage though and he feels more comfortable with speaking around you, he's still not quite the chatterbox. he's one of those people who speaks really passionately about things that he likes. ask him about one piece and you could swear you see little stars in his eyes from the way they start to glow.
clumsy, the type to trip over his own two feet, the type who’s fallen out of a tree as a child and sprained his ankle. he’s like a tamer version of cousin stanley from spongebob.. a walking disaster at times.
as a child he was more anxious than the other kids, dealt with a bit of separation anxiety when he first started school to the point of crying when his mother had to leave him.
throughout his life, he’s dealt with an unfair amount of bullying. from the way he looks with his long limbs, he earned the nickname bambi in middle school. he’s the friend that you kinda just drag to be dragging someone, though with his friends he knows its out of love.. or at least he hopes it is.
he started to smoke weed in his second year of highschool to help cope with his anxiety. he knows its not the healthiest way to cope, but it helps.
he was recently reborn since kh3 dropped.
he really likes to draw little doodles. he’s fond of taking polaroids of his friends and drawing on the outer edges.
he keeps a journal and tries to write in it daily, what he writes in it varies from what happened during his day to his mood and anxiety levels. he doodles in it while thinking about how he’d like to word what he writes down, he also goes back and decorates the pages with lil stickers.
loves anime.. one piece is one of his favorites and he tries to just passively accept it when others say its too long or boring. he grew up on pokemon, inuyasha and dbz ( that explains why he’s so dense about his own love life ). he’s also riding that bnha wave, he adores bakugou, tsuyu and sero.
sometimes he swears like a sailor, sometimes he remembers all of the times his mother threatened to clean his mouth out with soap and goes back to ‘fudge’ and ‘heck’.
kind of has a draw towards people, likes being the reason someone smiles, definitely the type to have sent some uwu ass anons to someone’s cc on anime stan twt.
ya.. i said anime stan twt.. he totally would have somewhere he could rant about how AWESOME luffy vs katakuri was. his layout would be like a soft edit of trafalgar law with a plain black header. his @ would be smth dumb like luffyluvbot.
he.. appreciates.. h*ntai. prefers the actual art (manga, doujins) over animation, probably owns op doujinshis.. he doesn’t even try to hide them.. has them hidden in plain sight with his volumes of one piece.
not really an angry person, he puts up with a lot but he just doesn’t like to be taken advantage of, he appreciates appreciation.
his music taste is like sad e-boy meets HYPE meets all the random songs he’s heard at the coffee shop across from the bookstore and what’s made its way from his friends’ playlists into his own.
his dad is your typical man’s man kinda guy.. businessman.. the breadwinner.. reeks of toxic masculinity, phys and mentally abusive towards dame and he lowkey hates him for it. his mom is an actual angel, he doesn’t get how she can deal with his dad. she’s really supportive of anything he chooses to do.. typical wants to see her kid happy type of mom.
