     winnie let out a slight gasp,  “you know, here i was thinking you would actually bring up something of NOTE or IMPORTANCE.”  she shifted in her seat slightly and cringed at the thought of herself in a club,  “okay,  i get that i’m a little STIFF,  but a club ?  can’t we take baby steps first ?”  she always tried to be a rational person and the club didn’t seem to be the place where she would make the best decisions or encounter people who WOULD make the best decisions.

“  excuse me !  ”  bea gasped, a look of mock hurt spreading across her features.  “  partying is so important.  ”  running a hand through her hair, bea let out a soft sigh before turning to winnie.  “  FINE. what would you consider baby steps ?  ”

“  i’m really glad you think so.  most people would probably just say what i want to hear but you ? you’re honest, and i like that.  ”  bea replied, lifting the shirt over her head and tossing it on her bed leaving her standing in just her bra.  “  yeah, a mini skirt. you know..  ”  she paused, turning to face austin.  “  you should really come out with me sometime. i promise i won’t let anything happen to you, or let anyone pressure you into doing anything.  ”  walking towards him, bea kneeled down in front of him resting one of her hands gently on his knee.  “  you trust me, don’t you ?  ”

“  winnie, listen.  ”  if you knew bea, you would know she never kept a straight face. she was always displaying some type of emotion, but this was different. this was a serious talk to her, and she wanted to treat it as much.  “  i hate to ask but this is really serious... why don’t you ever go out to the club with me ?  ”

          SHE  OPENS  THE  DOOR  to  her  neighbor,  a  pleasant  surprise  though  she  is  a  woman  tamsin  knows  very  little  of.  they  mostly  see  each  other  in  passing,  cordial  conversations  and  kind  words  shared  every  now  and  then.  still,  tam  beams  gently.  «  uuuh,  i’ll  think  about  it,  »  she  replies,  but  her  smile  gives  her  away  easily  as  she  makes  way  for  the  other  to  enter.  «  step  on  in,  neighbor.  what  happened  ?  you  locked  out  ?  »

bea returns tamsins gentle smile as she shyly moved past her, making her way into the others apartment.  “  uhhh, it depends.  ”  she replied, turning around to face tamsin.  “  if i did get locked out, would you call me an idiot ? because if so, then no, totally didn’t get locked out.  ”

bea couldn’t lie, after all the moments these two had shared together no matter how long ago, she couldn’t help but feel a warm feeling spread throughout her body when she saw the other. nikita had been a safe place for bea for so long, almost like a home to her. it was kinda of like bea was back in high school whenever she saw nikita. the warm feeling soon went away and was replaced with excitement as she ran up to the other, engulfing them in a bear hug.  “  niki ! i feel like i haven’t seen you in so long.  ”

          HE  IS  NOT  THIS  way  —  not  this  monster  he’s  been  groomed  to  become,  and  yet  the  quiet  boy  has  found  actions  speak  volumes  louder  than  words.  he  is  patient  and  always  waits  for  the  world  to  sleep,  but  there  are  carefully  crafted  rules  a  volcano  like  him  must  follow:  and  even  then  no  one  could  stop  it  from  exploding.

     buttons  have  been  pushed.  zane’s  fist  has  flown  and  perhaps  cracked  a  jaw.  the  man  that  had  attempted  to  start  shit  in  the  bar  with  him  just  a  few  minutes  earlier  staggers  away  now,  whimpering,  tail  between  his  legs.  some  men  are  very  many  words  and  very  little  action,  and  zane  takes  a  bizarre  pleasure  in  putting  them  in  their  place  —  mainly  on  the  dirty  concrete.  he  is  not  alone  though  and  he  feels  someone’s  gaze  resting  on  him  and  his  bloodied  hand.

      «  enjoying  the  show  ?  »  he  sarcastically  mutters  as  he  turns  to  face  them.

she witnessed the whole encounter. bea was honestly just on her way to the bar to have a good time, but of course it had to be tainted by an appereance of zane. though, she could have easily ignored the whole thing and been inside already having a great time. but here she stood, eyes studying the familiar figure. something was tying her to this scene, not letting her go. maybe it was the feelings of times long gone, or maybe it was just part of her nature. but she couldn’t go without making sure the other was alright first.  “  your hand....  ”  she trailed off, eyes moving to look down at it as she cautiously took a few steps closer.  “  you should probably get it looked at. i mean, honestly, how can anyone enjoy the snow if you’re getting blood all over it.  ”

“  soooooo..  ”  bea trailed off, eyes moving to look at elijah.  “  remind me to take every precaution next time we have sex.  ”  she lightly chuckled at the incredibly lame, and probably borderline hurtful joke.  “  too soon ?  ”

this was so stupid. how does someone walk outside to check the mail, forget their door is locked, and not have their keys ? this could only happen to bea.  “  god damn it.  ”  bea cursed, mentally scolding herself for being so irresponsible. bea couldn’t even call the landlord because her phone was inside too. so, she had no other choice then to bother tamsin.  “  hi, care to invite me in ?  ”
