i started watching the show with my mom to hate on it with her. i really dont like the show past season 1. we gave up watching at season 5

first of all incredible finale #1 scene ormund stabbed in the ass by recently de-armed winter wolf i forget the name of that old guy genuinely burst out laughing i am always a strong proponent of mixing campy comedy with seriousness to heighten emotions and like. Genuinely made me laugh hard #dgaf

SECOND OF ALL cannot believe how much this scene made me turn around on gwayne being a nothingburger white man and this episode was no different. i think the fun of hotd is in part i dont know where they will diverge and if gwayne died here i wouldnt be surprised! but im still interested by his arc regardless.

also the usage of children in the battlements was WILDDDDD like what a great way to get across the comical lengths ormund was willing to go to crown a child as king with daeron. compelling clearly meant to reflect daeron's age regardless

also loved rhaenyra's whole megalomaniac arc going across. the rejection of femininity to be taken seriously as a ruler and covering her head with the knights helm
