On an abstract level, he knew he shouldn’t be out on a full moon night. Too much chance of someone getting hurt. Killian couldn’t bring himself to care, though - he couldn’t feel any fear or worry, just a mild, detached curiosity at best.

The sound of a voice, but no heartbeat. He turned to look at the speaker.

"If I ever get an epitaph, that’s what they’ll put on it," he agreed. He sheathed his sword. "But aren’t you in the wrong place at the wrong time as well?”

Dahlia took a brief look at the surroundings, it didn’t seem like anything would happen that night. It seemed peaceful...putting a cigarette between her lips,she finally sat down. “I’ll make sure to do that when I bury you.” she said with a chuckle. It was a joke, but you never knew with vampires. Vampires weren’t good with humor like that, at times they were but they were other times when they took it to heart. “I guess you’re right...” breathed in, breathed out. “but I can’t be bothered.” she said this in a low voice, as if she didn’t want him to hear. It sounded like something that someone who was trying to be something would say. She was very nothing, she was fine with nothing.“Who are you?” she looked up curiously, she hadn’t ask before.

Too much time spent pent up indoors left Killian restless, and this small town didn’t have much in the way of amusements.

So he’d taken to the woods late in the afternoon with a sword, venturing deep enough into the trees that he didn’t think that he would be disturbed.

There, he practiced. The footwork exercises and drills that he’d learned as a boy - not the ones he’d learned later, with all the other weapons through the ages. It both saddened and amused him, to think that he was one of the last people alive who knew how to fight in this style - which had once been so common in his youth.

He moved slowly - slowly, at least for a vampire. The point was to concentrate on form, to make sure that he didn’t forget the old moves.

He ignored the fading of daylight as the time passed - and it was only when he looked up later that he noticed that the moon was full this night.

Dahlia wasn’t afraid of full moon nights, this didn’t mean she didn’t think and knew they were dangerous. No, she knew but she didn’t think anything would happen. She secretly believed the packs in crystal cove to be fairly weak and their weakness had nothing to do with their strengths but with their bonds. It seemed like one day they would be ready for MTV or E!. 

Her eyes widened in surprise as she stopped in her tracks, and a smirk slowly appeared on her lips “You’re always in the wrong places at the wrong time, aren’t you?”
