Listening to the other maleâs story, Tony couldnât help the laugh that escaped. âYou really got stood up?â Leaning back, he looked at the other maleâs body, trying to figure out why. âYouâre not ugly, are you shorter than you look? Maybe they walked in, saw you and saw you were shorter than expected, and left.â Tony gave himself a chuckle at his own argument, cheers-ing with the other male before continuing his thoughts. âNo, no silly bands or sex rings, I work at a auto shop. Iâm thinking of opening one, one town over though so I donât fuck up Frankâs set up here â He hired me, you know? Iâve got some loyalty, but Iâm nearly done with business school so I was looking.â Taking a swig from his beer, he looked back to Alec once finished and exhaled. âSo, what were you looking for in your perfect mate that ended up not being so perfect?â
âpunctuality?â alec jokes, shaking his head in disappointment. âi dunno, i wasnât really going for âperfect mateâ with this girl - friend of mine set us up âcause apparently i donât put myself out there enough. yet, here i am throwing caution to the wind and still getting rejected ... hence why i try not to âput myself out thereâ.â he smiles, then, cocking his head at his counterpart. âyou donât happen to know any desperate enough singles at that business school of yours, do you?â
