Let the good times roll at Universal Orlando Resort’s 2016 Mardi Gras celebration.
Awolnation and Bastille also performed at the seasonal show at EagleBank Arena.
The best song that never was.
we need to talk about pete wentz.
(TW rape, csa)
We need to talk about Pete Wentz, and I ask you to bear with me because I need to talk about it in this way, with this setting–it feels crucial, even though it probably isn’t.
A front seat, skin prickling, the tips of my fingers numb, forehead against the window–Silver Spring in August, heat and humidity pressing itself against the glass even in the dark, my ears buzzing, buzzing, buzzing, some cicadas still hanging around. The DC suburbs feel empty, yawning this time of year, everyone cleared out to their beach houses at Rehoboth or Myrtle or—I’ve never been to Ocean City, even, have never much taken to the sun and swelter. The ocean is blue, blue, blue, but it feels far away.
So wear me like a locket around your throat I’ll weigh you down I’ll watch you choke You look so good in blue You look so good in blue

Hey, anyone who might still look at this site. This post is important. I’ve joked a lot about hating Pete over the years, before I understood how terrible this situation was. Being an adult now and seeing how often teenage girls are mistreated, especially in music which is often an escape, this has become more troubling to me.
Like the OP, I still love Fall Out Boy. The songs meant something different to me. FOB became important because of the friends I made. When you love something, be it a band or whatever else, it’s important to recognize the faults. It’s important to fight against the wrongs. You can’t love things blindly because that blind love often hurts others.
If you are a teen girl, I love you and be careful. I know you are told to be careful a lot. Adults are failing you. Instead of fixing their behavior you are told to fix yours. You don’t need to fix anything. But unfortunately you have to be careful. And if you love music understand that your heroes in bands are humans and sometimes humans are terrible. Sometimes grown men take advantage of their power, whether they realize they are doing it or not. Be distrustful of them. Protect your friends. Seek help if you need it. (This is an invitation to reach out to me if you need help.)
Loving something like a band is messy. You don’t know who is behind the music. You can still love the music, but you need to look out for the problems. If you are an adult, do what you can to protect those younger than you. Stand up to what is wrong.
Hello! I was looking at your FOB merch picture for boys of zummer. the pic is a little unclear, especially since a lot of the things are black, but could you tell me if there are any jackets or hoodies?
Mhmm. #3 is a hoodie. #5 is a jacket. I think #60 is a crewneck sweatshirt.
Is there anyone who bought merch that can confirm this?
you could maybe just relax with the rude comments about fall out boy? i don't know, it is rather odd that you'd be hating on them/their setlist when you seem to a full on fall out boy fan blog
Is she a fan? Is she a hater?
Listen, I mostly make fun of them out of love. They’re my favorite band and I’ve seen them 30+ times. I’m also allowed to be disappointed by their setlists.
As far as this being a fan blog.... I started Drop-a-Heart literally a decade ago when I was a 15 year old child. I don’t have time to run a fan site anymore but didn’t want to let the site die so made it into a tumblr for fun. Probably shouldn’t take me too seriously.
The merch you can find for this tour.
Zummer Setlist
Here’s me pretending I am still a source of Fall Out Boy info. I present to you the setlist for this tour [with my comments.]
Sugar We’re Goin’ Down [sort of a surprise as an opener] Irresistible Phoenix 16 Candles Thriller Alone Together Arm's Race [Stupid video distraction while they relocate to a different part of the venue because they're still wasting time doing that instead of maybe playing a song their fans want to hear] Immortals (acoustic) [In what universe is this the best pick for acoustic] Young Volcanoes (acoustic) Andy drum solo [awesome as per usual] Dance Dance AB/AP [this works better as a live song] Uma [still mad they named a song after her and baby Patrick sings "summer sex"] Thnks fr th Mmrs I Don't Care [for them to continue to play this song always] [Typical Pete Speech™. Something about being an outsider and changing the world blah blah blah. I don’t listen to him anymore.] Centuries

"For a long time I was waiting for the band to fall off the rails so I could just go do whatever real thing I was supposed to do with my life, I assumed I’d go back to college, maybe end up teaching, and just do music as a hobby." - Patrick Stump
Used Wayback Machine to grab some old Drop-a-Heart layouts. They're great/terrible.

This is a thing again... sort of. Low key nostalgic fun.
