KAREN !
It was an average night, as average as they came when you lived in Salem and ignored the radio, tv and whispers of mystery and witchcraft. Karen got on with her life as she always had, oblivious to the dangers of the world around her or the fact that there was danger in Salem that may have been a threat to each and every one of them. Things that went bump in the night were ignored, horrible reality blurred and kept out of her little bubble ā a world where everything was good, the one she had used growing up too. She slid her rag across the bar humming quietly to herself, the minutes sliding away until closing. She only lifted her gaze to look at the clock, distracted earlier by her own thoughts about what she would do tomorrow on her day off. She paused to look at the person who was sat on a bar stool, twisting the cap back onto a bottle on her side,Ā āDo you want a refill? Weāre closing in 30 minutes.ā
dailey didnāt usually go to bars, not since new york anyways. night life in salem always seemed so dreary, so dull, when it was compared to the nights out in the big city. usually when she went out in salem, it was to mourn the life she could have been living. it was for feeling sorry for herself and allowing herself to mope. it didnāt happen often -- at least, she tried not to let it to. she looked towards the bartender and nodded her head.Ā ā thatād be nice. ā she glanced towards a clock on the wall and then down at the watch on her wrist, doubly confirming the time.Ā ā i hadnāt realized itād gotten so late, but then again, iām used to the bars i like closing later. ā her comment left a stinging feeling on her skin. another reminder of how different salem was to new york.
