I am alive. Sorry I disappeared again. I got Instagram again after being gone for like a year so I’m more active there with putting my art on my story but I love the jojo community here way more. Anyways here is hot deer dad Jotaro.

Plus some concept sketches from months ago.

When doing my design process, I first try to understand how the actual animal looks, breakdown the anatomy, understand the form in 3D, and then stylize it. I always draw better when I first draw the real animal than just going straight to a stylized character.

I like to imagine Jotaro is like a piebald deer but the white is really just on his face and a little bit of his neck and rump, but most his body is darker fur. This would also apply to Jolyne. Maybe give Jotaro some dark spots on his hind legs as a nod to his pants in P6.

Are you interested in a commission with these mediums? I’m opening two slots, flat sale of $20 for waist (for ferals I would do full body view from the front or back, no side view) or $15 for shoulders up. If you want a 4 by 6 to get shipped to you it will be $25 plus shipping (I am a US based artist btw). These will all be fully shaded as seen above in black and white (first two images). I’m super flexible with styles BUT the mediums I use will be the same for this type of commission. I love poking fun at hartebeest Dio’s snout. Since I first made his anthro design, people have told me his snout is super long and I embrace it, lmaooo.

Not sure I like his dark chest fur though. Gonna change that when I get to actual ref sheet. Supposed to be representative of Jonathan’s body.

Wanted to try out my tricolor gel pens. This is meant to be pink-yellow-green, but it mostly just looks orangey.

I always have mixed feelings when I draw JJBA style lips on animals. I don’t know whether I like it or hate it lol. Anyways, tried to draw my Diorno (Deer Giorno 🤭) with more manga aspects, such as the curlier hair (early manga) and studs on his antlers (manga has circles and triangles, anime only has circles). I do try to give Giorno features that make him look young such as bigger eyes and ears, even though he is an adult in my AU.

ArtFight attack on Frosticle84. This took me a week to make. Done on paper with Tombow ink, Prismacolor pencil, and some cheap gel pens I got from work. I combined clothes from both P1 and P3 because I like them a lot and didn’t want to choose.

Sermon sketch.

Usually I wouldn’t post a sketch this rough but I don’t think I’ll ever ink it, so might as well.

So far in the deerniverse AU, I don’t think there will be a hybrid system. I think it was in that anime BNA, where if two different beastmen have offspring, the child will only inherit one animal, not be a hybrid. So I think a similar logic applies here species-wise.

Dio would be a little disappointed Diorno is a deer like the other Doestars (I know, I’m so funny) instead of a hartebeest like him, but who can’t love an adorable little fawn?

We've had Jojo characters as cats, as dogs, as all matter of animals, really... Well, now get ready for seal Jojo characters! We have the whole gang from part 5! Maybe I'll do the villains one day...

They are all squishy, blobs of cuteness (and fat) and to Abbacchio's annoyance, they all cling to him! Abbacchio and Fugo are sea lions while everyone else are seals? What types of seals? Doesn't matter, pink seals and purple sea lions don't exist anyway haha.

I had such a fun time with this one, I hope you liked it, they are a lil family of seals!

Sorry for the long time not posting here! Life has been a rollercoaster... I've been sick, I've had fun moments, I've had awful moments and new opportunities, I completely forgot about Tumblr.
