my Akane brain rot says you get head cannons

he likes to wear oversized crop tops but is too embarrassed to wear out in public.

horror movies scare him easily and he always jumps no matter how much he tries not too. even when he tries to impress Aoi..

he likes reptiles/Lizards and Elephants...

he owns a Desert spiny Lizard, and named it 'Aoi' after his childhood friend.

he HATES when people use the wrong Grammer or refuse to take care of themselves properly. it really gets on his nerves

he has a slight unaware crush on Yamabuki and will never find out that he does. bc I mean, everyone wonders what it's like to kiss your friend..

he's ambidextrous! but uses his right hand most of the time by default bc Aoi does.

Akane knows and loves Folklore dancing ! he actually takes classes three times a month :)

his favorite thing about Aoi he refused to say was when she cries. he just finds it unbearable cute when people cry, especially the people he cares about.

he legit got a potted plant to put in the student council room and named it 'president' to confuse Teru when he speaks to the plant bc he's an asshole.

he has Sanpaku eyes but tries to keep them as normal as possible around Aoi bc she mentioned how pretty and wide Nene's eyes are.

he not only loves Raspberry treats or anything raspberry, he also loves everything blueberry ! especially blueberry pastries.

he's crazy good at volleyball and Tennis and no one has ever beaten him (except Aoi in Tennis once)

it seems like its just one person who owns like multiple blogs making hanako hate posts from each one of them, idk why or for what reason. i don't think that many people actually hate hanako in the fandom imo (quite the opposite I think), it's just a couple people being really loud about it

Oh don't get me wrong I'm absolutely aware that the majority of people like hanako. The manga is set up in a way where if you don't like yashiro or hanako, it's significantly less enjoyable! So, ofc, a majority of fans DO like both characters.

That's exactly why I was confused seeing, what I considered to be, an odd amount of passionate the for him in the tags. And mind you I'm not just talking about hate that arose with this chapter update but hate that I've seen floating around for a while now (which peaked the most during the kiss scene lol)

I don't think it's just one person with multiple accounts, as funny as that is. But I def agree it's a vocal minority that genuinely baffles me.

All supernaturals are evil. There not morally gray. There aren't good ones. There all evil and Hanako has been telling us almost since the beginning of the series- he even likes people who actually see that.

He likes humans who see that all supernaturals are evil because he thinks the ones that don't are naive. Hanako's been trying to tell us but we're just not listening y'all need to start realizing that supernaturals are evil and not just morally gray.
