Wounds
Y'all I said I wasn't going to draw anything for Valentine's day but then Aidairo dropped a GORGEOUS piece of them so. Alas it was inevitable
hakubo becoming a god of death & getting the ability to 'control life and death' is ironic because the only death he ever wished to have control over was sumire's and in the end he never did anything about it either way. he might think that it was beyond his control to do something he was never ordered to, but in fact he was able to control hers far before he got his rumor. he couldn't even stop the flowers in his hands from wilting when he gave them to aoi but the flowers and the trees when sumire's around never seemed to wilt or die. he tells himself he should've done something, that if only she'd asked to be saved, but it's simply that he doesn't know how to be selfish outside of just thought. him killing sumire and consuming her straight up means that he claims her beyond any other person, that a god other than the pit god finally took her life... it's a testament for how horrible their conditions were that that's enough for both of them
